Zalman makes some of the best GPU coolers on the market for the exception of liquid cooled.  Corsair has yet to come out with a GPU cooler so my suggestion is to go with a Zalman VF900.  If this is your first applying a GPU heatsink its not that dissimilar from replacing a CPU;

Remove the old heatsink carefully, clean off the GPU and corresponding memory with appropriate material remover.  I would suggest this;

Apply thermal paste and memory heat fans carefully then attach new heatsink to GPU.  Get a program that monitors your GPU along with other pieces of hardware.  I would suggest SpeedFan as its free and has an adaptable code so that even replacing parts doesn't require a reinstall.

If you're just looking for a slot cooler though I would suggest this;

Cheap and effective, EVERCOOL tends to lead the market on slot coolers.  I would still suggest replacing the heatsink (some GeForce heatsinks tend to be subpar) however this should deal with heat issues if they are minor.
