Bar Activities Expanded
 

The Broken Drum has always had one game: blackjack. This mod puts a dartboard on the wall, a pool table in the corner, cups on the end table, a shuffle bowler along the wall, an air hockey table nobody has unplugged in years, and a door past the end of the bar that nobody mentions to you. All of it wired into everything the card game already does: the wagers, the girls, Dredd's dangerous stakes, and Bruce's infamous X-Change bet.

• Back room poker
  • Four-handed Texas hold'em against Dredd, Bruce and whichever bar girls are in tonight, once a night, behind a door you have walked past a hundred times. Buy in from $50 to $2,000 and everyone at the table matches you, so the rung you pick is the size of the whole game. Real side pots, a proper seven card evaluator, and it reads your hand back to you in plain English, so "Two pair, aces and nines" rather than expecting you to spot it yourself. Everybody plays to type: Dredd is tight and will not pay you off, Bruce genuinely bluffs and will keep firing at a pot he has no business being in, and a bimbo calls you down with anything. They open pots, they lay hands down when the price is wrong, and they notice if you are the kind of player who bets every single hand.
  • Run out of chips and you are not necessarily out. House rules say you can strip to buy back in, and so can everybody else, which you will see happen. Reach heads-up and the last player wants something for it: a bar girl settles for your cash, Bruce wants your masculinity on the table, and Dredd wants a night on his stage. Win and the bet is void and you take the lot. Every offer can be turned down. Already female when Bruce gets you heads-up? He has a different arrangement in mind, and how it goes decides whether he pays out at all.
  • Somebody is always buying a round, and it goes on your tab in real units, so a long session is a drunk one whether you meant it or not. Bruce's rounds are worth watching. Catch what his other hand is doing and you can try swapping the glasses while he is not looking. It does not always work. When it does, say hello to Bree, who does not storm out and does not stop playing.
  • Sitting there with nothing on does more than embarrass you. People start reading you, and it gets worse the longer you sit, while how well you know somebody decides how well you can read them back. Some of them would rather flash you than let you concentrate. Arousal builds at the table and you can spend it to steady yourself, but let it run and it will go through you in front of everybody. Being a bimbo makes all of this considerably harder, and Bruce knows it.
• Darts, now 501 and double out
  • A physically aimed game. Your sight drifts and wobbles over the board; you pick your moment and throw. Higher Fitness steadies your hand, and every drink loosens it. Start at 501 and finish on a double, with no helpers telling you what to aim at, so working out your own checkout is part of the game. Bust below zero, on one, or on zero without a double. Bruce hunts treble twenties and runs hot. Dredd parks in the fat twenty and punishes your misses. The girls throw true to their personality, right down to the bimbo's occasional miracle bullseye. Retuned against measured averages, so maxed Fitness is a coin flip against Dredd rather than lapping him.
• Pool
  • A real top-down eight ball simulation. Every shot is two steps: aim while dashed prediction lines trace the cue ball and object ball through cushion bounces to wherever they would actually end up (a gold ring where a ball drops, a red ring warning you of a scratch), then set your power on a slider and let it go. A faint fan around your aim line shows your true accuracy, and it widens with power and drink, so you always know what you are gambling on. Full bar rules on a 15 ball rack: pot your own and keep shooting, scratch and give up ball in hand, sink the 8 early and lose on the spot. Your opponent plays their turns on the table in front of you, and you can tap to hurry them along.
• Beer pong
  • Six cups a side and one throw each. Every cup of yours they sink is a drink you actually swallow, and the drink throws worse than you do, so the game punishes you for losing it. Lose your last cup and you get one redemption shot to force overtime.
• Virtual bowling
  • Five frames each on the bar's shuffle machine, with full bowling scoring: strikes, spares, bonus balls, and a live scoresheet under the lane.
• Air hockey
  • First to five, in real time. Click the table and the mouse locks to it so your hand cannot wander out of the rally. Heavy and slidy the way an air cushion should be, and the opponent is genuinely trying.
• Built into the bar, not beside it
• The existing "Play cards" moment becomes "Play a game": agree the stakes first, then choose blackjack, darts, pool, beer pong, bowling, or air hockey. Poker is deliberately not in that list, because it is a table event with its own money model behind its own door.
• Every bar girl plays every game, one of each per night, including girls added by other mods, with a full set of personality-flavored reactions for winning and losing, for cash or for pride
• Dredd offers stakes you cannot cover, and losing a game you could not pay for ends exactly where you fear it does
• Bruce's X-Change pill bet works at every game, in both directions: bet your masculinity against his hundred, or make him match the bet with a pill of yours. The crowd still enforces the result. A bet is a bet.
• Fitness and drink accuracy penalties can be switched off per game. On by default for darts and beer pong, where the wobble is the game. Off by default for air hockey and pool, where your own hand already decides it.
• The dice-roll skill check (Fitness-based for the new games), Extra Effort, Action Points, skippable minigames, and the Real Time Minigames toggle are all fully supported
• 24 achievements, from your first won rack to taking the whole poker table with your clothes on
• A few drinks in, the games notice: your aim suffers and the narration has opinions

Compatibility

• Requires X-Change Life 0.25.6 or newer
• No base passages are overwritten. Everything is done through the modding hooks, so it plays nicely with other bar mods (bar girl mods work automatically; tested alongside Mystery Pill and others)
• Zero media files: the whole mod is a tiny download and adds no load time

Install

Load bar activities expanded 1.0.0.xcl through the X-Change Life Mod Loader like any other mod. Works on new saves and existing saves.

I assume that means Male Main Charachter and Female Main Charachter, in which case yes, you can play them as either male or female
