AceGoober Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Howdy Folks! Anyone who's ever played Fallout 3 knows there is a green tint overlay on the main menu screen. What I would like to do, if possible, is remove the green tint. While I really don't mind the green tint I just installed a high resolution main menu screen of which the green tint really doesn't seem to fit. I am not one to ask for assistance (seasoned modder) in this yet I've searched and searched and searched for the last two weeks and have yet to find a solution. I have a feeling it is something fairly simple I'm overlooking. Hopefully somebody here will joggle my brain cells enough to point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance to whomever assists me. Best regards.
Guest carywinton Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 If you refer to the green tint that basically covers the entire Wasteland , there are ENB mods that remove this and enhance the colors and textures, but to remove just the filter itself that gives that effect would be a welcome change. I am not sure how this would be accomplished, but it would definitely be worth looking into. There are some folks who simply cannot run EMB mods due to performance issues, so to be able to simply remove the landscape and menu filtering would be good. I will keep looking into this and see if I can find an answer, but I would start looking in just removing the Wasteland greyish greenish filtering, which should help and lead to the removal of the menu filtering.
AceGoober Posted February 9, 2014 Author Posted February 9, 2014 Hi carywinton and thanks for the reply. Green tint over The Wasteland is removed by SweetFX with a custom preset in conjunction with a weather mod. I'm only interested in removing the green tint from the main menu. I'm currently looking into menu files to see if there is an option to either alter the tint or remove it all-together.
CoxcombCornking Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Personally liked the odd green tint for first couple playthroughs, yet now use Fellout. Fellout without weather altering mods.
