Guest witchblade Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 So I followed this guide and attempted to get the best out of my inis by tweaking them. My goal was to get the most out of my gtx 670 4gb and my ddr3 16 gb ram. So I modded the following. In Skyrim.ini Add/Edit: bBackgroundLoadLipFiles=1bLoadBackgroundFaceGen=1bUseMultiThreadedFaceGen=1bBackgroundCellLoads=1bLoadHelmetsInBackground=1bUseMultiThreadedTrees=1bUseBackgroundFileLoader=1[Animation]bMultiThreadBoneUpdate=1[HAVOK]iNumThreads=04[General]bUseThreadedTempEffects=1bUseThreadedParticleSystem=1bMultiThreadMovement=1bUseThreadedMorpher=1[Decals]bDecalMultithreaded=1 [Papyrus] iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=4000000000 In SkyrimPrefs.ini Add/Edit: [Navmesh]bUseThreadedMeshes=1[Trees]bUseMultiThreadedTrees=1bShadowMaskZPrePass=1[backgroundLoad]bBackgroundLoadLipFiles=1bLoadBackgroundFaceGen=1bUseMultiThreadedFaceGen=1bBackgroundCellLoads=1bLoadHelmetsInBackground=1bUseMultiThreadedTrees=1[General]bUseThreadedParticleSystem=1bUseThreadedBlood=1bUseThreadedMorpher=1bUseThreadedTempEffects=1bUseThreadedTextures=1bUseThreadedMeshes=1bUseThreadedLOD=1bUseThreadedAI=1bUseThreadedMorpher=1[Decals]bDecalMultithreaded=1 INI.rar
Groovtama Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=4000000000 BEEP => FAIL
Uriel Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 You better don't touch threaded stuff. It's an endless source of all kinds of strange bugs.
Mana Yakushima Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Most of that stuff doesn't "do" anything. And like Groovtama said: WARNING! Do not increase iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes value, because memory fragmentation may cause the game to crash or freeze. If you really want to stress your gpu, I'd personally tweak ugrids and use those pretty grass mods.
hryh23k9823u Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 After some months playing skyrim.ini, one day I decided to delete my ini's and generate them default. I gained 20fps...
