Farlands is a farming game made by a small Spanish developer that was released not too long ago. It's heavily inspired by Terraria, but with a space-themed setting. Even though it's still in development, there's already a lot of content and it's a really fun game.

Yesterday I was messing around with exporting assets from a few games and managed to get it working with this one. Since everything exported correctly, I decided to experiment with making an NSFW mod, and so far it's working without any issues.

 

At the moment, this is the only thing I've changed since it was just a quick proof of concept. I'll be working on the rest of the character sprites next.

 

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas are more than welcome. Hopefully this mod also gets a few more people interested in checking out the game!

I've started working on the expression portraits. There aren't many of them, so I figured it would be the best place to begin and establish the look of the female characters I'll be reworking (the romance candidates and two NPCs).

 

Instead of simply changing their facial expressions, I'm replacing them with different poses. The idea is loosely inspired by some Stardew Valley mods.

 

Once the portraits are finished, I'll move on to the character movement animations. This will be the most time-consuming part of the project due to the sheer number of frames each character has. For example, the idle animation alone consists of 58 frames.
