so, im a dumb goobus, of the highest order. and have done multiple attempts to mod skyrim, firstly using packs from nexus..which work, but i wanted to add more...freaky things (animal mansion, bondage, bad ends, etc etc) which nexus takes a no no to. so i tried to solo it using vortex...again, didnt work

i have tried mod manager 2, but its like a god damn orb of confusion, wondering if anyone knows of a place that does mod collections for more saucy side of modding, or if i am dommed to wander in circles of my two brain cells

it really is just trial and error until it works unfortunately, as modding is a skill. best advice I can give you assuming you're not already doing it this way is to start with major Nexus content first, (perk overhauls, combat, story stuff) then move down the list of LL content you want to add. typically I do the mandatory stuff first like SL, SLAL, SL Defeat, etc etc etc, then do animations packs. always remember to launch the game and check that the game actually functions every couple of major mod additions if you don't. i typically dont worry too much about mod load order, just do the major-MAJOR mods like SL in the top 10 and skyrim usually chicaneries itself into working. past the major system overhauls, new content like bondage and such would be next.

I also highly recommend using NMM - Community Edition at Modding Tools - Nexus Mods instead of Vortex or MM2, it worked fine before those two and I don't know why they tried fixing the wheel by making it angular.

I don't undestand this sentence. You said that you've installed modpacks from Nexus, and afterwards started using a mod manager? How did you install the nexus mods? Just drag and drop into the data folder? Bad idea, because in this case Vortex cannot help you finding incompatibilities. Start again from scratch and let your mod manager do the installing.

You're about a month too late, I fear. Nexus changed its naming policy, no mod manager recognises anymore if a mod is brand new or just an update. It sucks.
