Little bit of guidance please

Hi all, 

      I’ve been out of the game for a few years and wanted a quick catch up. when I was last modding, AE had not long come out and I was downgrading to SE, using Bakas Defeat, FNIS, Animation loader, nasty critters, ABC, SOS. Etc

 

i just want to be pointed in the right direction about still needing to downgrade or stick with latest AE version? I want to still use Sexlab, with a Defeat mod involved, animations, maybe other sex mods, 3BBB, body slide, etc. To put it in very simple terms my game will be looking pretty with a defeat scenario involved primarily, maybe with additional sexy content. 

 

i also see Naked Defeat? Is that a better option these days with animations run by Pandora mod? Is this the go to setup? Any other ‘main stream’ sexlab mods that have better alternatives from a few years back? Or stick with the older SE mods?
 

hope this makes sense, just after some pointers before going down this rabbit hole again. Thanks in advance

I have had no issues running AE. Many existing mods run well on it, and the rest can be easily modified to run on AE.

SexLab 1.66b runs well, switching to slp+ (to me, IMHO) is not worth considering. Too much work to get all pieces in place, just to achieve SexLabs current accomplishments.

 

FNIS still works wonders, and Pandora & the like (again IMHO) leave a lot to be desired.

The one animations mod which IS worth it is OAR.

 

As a matter of fact, the biggest issue you will find is loading all the current mod animation packs out there. For instance, if you wish to play the mod Thief, you will find yourself not being able to load any additional animation packs.

 

As for Defeat mods, there are too many to think about. The basic Defeat of LE has at least 4 versions, Naked Defeat, Practical Defeat, Acheron etc. It's a matter of taste.

Pamatronics series of mods add a lot to the mix, and there are about 5 different jail mods.

 

BakaFactories mods tend to be a bit on the script heavy side, so be careful how many you install. They will interfere with many quest based mods, like Troubles of Heroine.

 

Anyway there is no reason not to run AE.
