Now you have to add all your mod folders (Mod Manager, Fallout 4, Utility folders {i.e FO4Edit} etc) to exclusions for Windows Defender and/or whatever antivirus you use. Then check that the account you log into windows with has full permissions for all those folders. For bodyslide, locate it's executable in Windows Explorer and check to see if it is blocked. Same goes for all other utilities. Also when you run Bodyslide (in MO2 at least), you have to run it through the mod manager so it can access all resources/mods. Go to Fallout 4 Bodyslide Nexus site and read articles on Bodyslide to make sure it is configured properly. If you are using Vortex, you have to make sure everything is actually installed and activated. I use MO2 myself so further troubleshooting on Vortex vagaries will have come from elsewhere. Welcome to wild and wooly world of modding . . .

Deleting the .nif and .tri body files fixes the issue, however this means deleting all the associated files without removing anything to do with the face or NPCs. 1
