Fredas Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 By "object" I mean a 3d object. Mesh and texture. There were loads of tutorials for doing this kind of conversion from Oblivion to Fallout, and I fudged my way through them in order to port some hair. But I'm not really finding anything solid for Fallout -> Skyrim. Don't know what apps to use, what versions of said apps (always a very particular consideration, evidently), what plugins to grab, what import / export options to tick, what post-editing may be needed in Nifskope, etc. This is one of the more important steps in my eventual attempt to render a Skyrim version of a FONV mod I used to use. (It is not a copyrighted object, if that matters.)
xenic Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 It would be cool to have a large Liberty Prime wreck somewhere. You could even place some Fallout vehicles in the world. It would give a kind of reason why the Fallout stuff is floating around skyrim.
Fredas Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 Oh, the object I seek to convert for Skyrim definitely doesn't break the canon of the TES universe. ;p
Fredas Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 If nobody wants to give a rundown on how this is done, then please PM me, and maybe we can work something out. I need literally only one very simple object converted from FONV to Skyrim and everything is riding on this. (Simple as in it's not armor, weapon, body-related, etc. No more complicated than any other in-game object like a skull.)
