ramziux Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Hey everyone! downgraded the fallout 4 to legacy version to 1.10.163.0 to be specific but no matter what I'd do the game doesn't launch anymore and crashes instantly applied patches to 3 files that were in the downgraded version. After the patches in fallout4.exe properties it says that version dowgraded to legacy but don't know what should I'd do? And I Have almost 140 mods that i think would need help installing, yes I use NMM they isntalled correctly, I think? but be really appreciated if I could get discord invite if it's possible

Or downgraded game and then installed 140 mods?
ramziux Posted May 27 Author Posted May 27 downgraded game first then downloaded the mods cause I needed to be sure that I can procceed with mods it took alot of time
travelmedic Posted May 27 Posted May 27 1 - are you sure all of those mods will work on downgraded FO4? Check your mod descriptions. 2 - Did you activate all 140 of those mods at the same time, or did you install 2 or 3 at a time and test to see if the game ran? 3 - Does your game run without any mods installed? 4 - Do any of your mods need the script extender? Do you have the script extender installed? If so, are you running from the script extender launcher?
ramziux Posted May 27 Author Posted May 27 Ummm yeah i'm pretty sure they work downloaded compatible version of F4SE then compatible bodyslide version, then pluginpreloader, adress library and sup F4SE plugin all versions are compatible with specific Fallout version 1.10.163.0. But the main problem I think i did mistake by not checking if the game works with few mods cause i've downgraded then downloaded those 140 mods and then checked. But right now even though if I disable everyone off them the game doesn't launch so my question is. Is the downgraded version files corrupted or the mods corrupted game files?

Mods typically won't break the core game especially if you are using a mod manager, be sure you got rid of all the old F4SE stuff as well since the incorrect version of that will cause CTDs, other things to look into are reshades and enhancers of that type that may have been left over in the data folders.
ramziux Posted May 27 Author Posted May 27 I'm pretty new to all of this is there an easy way to save mods that i wanna use? And then redownload the game and try to fix leftover stuff that might gotten into?

I don't know vortex/whatever nexus has, mod organiser 2 will make its own folders for all the mods you add to it so it should be fine between installs of the game as long as you didn't set the folders for that to save to the base fallout 4 folder, but even then uninstalling it via steam may not remove the extra stuff you added after anyway, you'd need to manually remove it if it doesn't. The only thing that really goes in the games real folder is typically f4se anyway. I only use manual download on nexus myself so I always have all my stuff downloaded/saved.
