I did try the K.

Was thinking of attacking them to see if they will snap out of it.

BY console enable/disable, I see the wiki meantion it only stops rendering, scripts on the actors continues running??

Will try looking with More Informative Console, thanks

Once you get more informative console you can check active package, scripts, factions and magic effects. If they were stuck in a scene they should reset if you go away for a day and come back later.

with this update, can you add any NPC to the innkeeper faction (via console) and sell prostitutes, that sandbox properly in the cell and get jobs?

thanks, what does it mean? they just follow them or actually do stuff?

I'm asking from the perspective of the newest versions, which I hope expand the basic follow package that was the norm for most slaves in earlier AYGAS versions

they will just rfollow them and sandbox around their owner. not to far away and such. if you want YOUR slaves to get you ore then you  dont sell them you tel them to work when near a node and they will mine/chop fire wood for you and over time get a supply.

ok thanks. just want to ask are you sure this is not updated in the latest versions? was really hoping they added more functionalities than just follow package.

There are a few scenes already in AYGAS. Mostly whipping.

After updating, I am not getting any options to sell slaves in the dialogue tree, before your update, I was able to. All I have with me are PAH slaves, but I do have HSH and DoM in my load order.

Did you install the standard version or the DOM version? It's also perfectly possible I mixed them up.

Then you can only sell DOM slaves. You need the standard version to sell PAH slaves.

Being as thick as a thick thick thickthing on a thick making mouldy cheese sandwich (with apologies to Edmund Blackadder) does this mean that the following routes are those which should work and which we should use

------------------

A) If we ONLY have DOM inour load order, we can sell DOM slaves directly

 - by using PAH_AndYouGetASlave_0.72h_DOM_SSE.7z

----------------

BUT

----------------

B) if we have PAHE in our load order as well as DOM, to sell DOM slaves we MUST

1st : t/f DOM Slaves to PAHE

     and only then

2nd : sell the PAHE slaves, either

    a) those who have only ever been PAHE slaves

    or

    b) those which are now PAHE slaves having been t/f from DOM

- by using PAH_AndYouGetASlave_0.72h_SSE.7z

---------------

There are times that I think it would have been simpler to be born a peasant than a pedant or, even worse a pedant peasant 😉

Yes.

Yes. Though, you can also use PAH_AndYouGetASlave_0.72h_DOM_SSE.7z, then you can sell DOM slaves but not PAH slaves.

Also with DOM 8.3.1 there is a DOMPAH_AYGAS.esp patch to allow selling both DOM and PAH slaves. It works with both PAH_AndYouGetASlave_0.72h_SSE.7z  and PAH_AndYouGetASlave_0.72h_DOM_SSE.7 versions.

Sure. and that'll be fine for future starts, but I have a current game which has both and is too far progressed to want to go back to the beginning ... :classic_sad:

so some NPCs can buy slaves, others can't.

Here is what I found out playing with addtofaction/removefromfaction with the console:

  • JobMerchantFaction, most vanilla factions: having this faction makes a NPC a potential buyer
  • IsGuard: prevents purchase
  • JobJarlFaction: prevents purchase
  • AYGAS aygasOwnerFaction: this doesn't affect ability to purchase

Is there a mapping somewhere of all the faction tricks that influence whether a NPC can buy a slave?

Non unique don't buy (guards included). Jarls don't buy just because they don't need, I might put a flag to allow it, but then what happens with the civil war, I don't care. Slavers don't buy from AYGAS. Maybe beggars don't, I need to check that one.

thanks, i checked in the esp and found some conditions.

it seems there are some race checks as well.

the NPC i'm talking to is a priest affiliated to stendarr in the mod Haafstad which adds the region of Kirkmore. His colleague can buy slaves but he can't eventhough i tried to tweak his factions a bit in game. He is unique and not a guard.

No big deal, but i was just wondering since I came across this a couple of times in the last year using AYGAS, wondering why more than a few NPCs can't buy slaves.

if it's a problem with persistence or whatever, then why not simply dump the slaves by default like you said about the jarl and civil war examples? after all they are slaves. imo player should be able to sell to anyone, then if there is an edge case somewhere, just dump the slave, it's not an essential NPC by definition lol and makes sense gameplay wise that the slave died (of unknown causes)

Unfortunately Skyrim doesn't give a notice before deleting Spawns. So slaves sold to non uniques will have to be deleted asap.

If Embry finds that he can't buy Camilla V, the apple of his eye and his highly anticipated plum dessert, he is going to be so pissed off that he might just ask me to recruit him for the sole purpose of killing every troll in the game 😜

Leaving Embry aside, @Bane Master's Follower Slave Mod (FSM) allows defeated followers to be 'captured, and then maybe sold on, by the initial victors, to the Hydra Slave Girl mod's Slavers, as well as 'rescued' from them by the player, so is there any reason that is specific to DOM that would preclude similar sales to those same NPCs?

In asking that, I realise that not every NPC called 'slaver' will be a 'Hydra' one, so some 'slaver' NPCs might be out of scope, but is chopping them ALL out maybe not just 'overkill'?
