Prietess of Hydra face change and CTD

 I was in The Evil Layer of the Hydra

and I noticed that the Hydra priestess face and hair had changed and also very dark.

 This is what they used to look like

 I am wondering if they are based on an existing NPC and something changed that NPC and now they look like this...but I don't recognize the face. I have tried moving my load order around and nothing seems to work.

 

 Also since this has happened if i go into two or more rooms i get a sudden CTD or lock up on loading screen. Here is my Log...I have no idea what any of that stuff means

Yeah, some of the priestesses are based on Nocturnal and others are based on Elisif the fair. Any mods that change those NPCs in game will also change them in the Lair. The mannequins, too, are copies of an NPC (Lydia) and anything that changes that NPC also changes the mannequins.

 

What mods do you use that change existing NPCs? And which NPC changing mods have you removed or reordered?

I changed lydia and the clone of her and the mannequins look like what I changed without any problems. I was told to move any npc file to a lower loading order so that's what I have been doing. As far as nocturnal and Elisif the fair I don't think i have done anything to change those two.

That mod was written a long time ago, could well be written before the CK came out. Susceptible to "black face bug"

There's an addon to it that adds the facegendata for a lot of NPCs.

It's Called Hotter Skyrim - Lydia Plus 26 Makeover

 

Other option is to add ApachiiHairs for NPCs and both ColorMatch fixes

oh I should have added that I am using the hotter Skyrim mod. I just looked at all the npc's and it is Nocturnal and the Priestess's that are based on her that have suddenly changed faces and hair and dark face. and I am still either CTD or locking up after going through two to three doors inside. I have had this mod and all the versions of it since it came out and have never had any problems before.

ok, I figured out what was screwing with my Nocturnal. I noticed that the .esp date was wrong. Turns out one of my armor mods has an esp with the same file name. So now I just need to figure out why my Lisette, Orla, Adrianna Avenicci, and Fianna are also messed up with darker heads and vanilla faces. And also still crashing

When I used the Lair I was also running a mod that changed the hairs and faces of NPCs to Apachii hairs (I always run that mod anyway). I've never seen any dark faces, though. And now that I'm thinking about it, some of the priestesses were copies of Lisette and not Elisif (they look very similar with the mods I am running),
