Succubus Heart

What is Succubus Heart?

Succubus Heart is an adult gameplay mod which adds new gameplay mechanics and new progression systems. The general concept is to turn your character into a Life Siphoning Succubus! (or incubus, we don't discriminate here ^-^) You start off rather weak, but through draining partners and partaking in sexual activity your Succubus gains experience and stats which can then be used to unlock and harness powerful Succubus abilities! Succubus Heart also includes other features such as Combat Seduction, a combat submission mod, Death Override Mode, a rogue-lite mod, and Soul Pets, a Soul Capture/Summoning mod, fully integrated with Succubus Heart and its mechanics! While most succubus mods focus on power fantasies, Succubus Heart's player demon is inspired by a fantasy race of life-weavers, giving a more human-but-powerful feel. Succubus Heart is also designed as a complimentary mod, meaning it plays well with a large array of other mods and, while it has its own systems to function fully standalone, you can combine Succubus Heart's experience with a large array of other gameplay mods for a truly custom experience!

This is my favorite Succubus mod!

 

I see this new page is specifically for the test version of the mod but I'm not seeing a chagelog or list of features of which to test.  I'm a VR player and will happily test out features to allow for continued VR support, I just have to have an idea of what to test.

 

Also, I think I may have mentioned before that I do a lot of voices here? So if you wanted to add personality to the 2 succubi in the Succubus realm or add a small quest, I'd be happy to voice them for you if you do not otherwise have a way to do so.

This is the new download page for all version, the old thread still exists but the old download page doesn't anymore. Long story, will have new DL pages for my mods. lol (old thread - https://www.loverslab.com/topic/38187-succubus-heart/ )

I 'think' the current TEST build works on VR but I'm not sure. I don't have Skyrim VR so it's impossible for me to test. >.< The VR fix released for 5.0 has long been added to the DEV/TEST builds and I don't recall any other critical VR issues. If you decide to try the test version, do let me know of any issues! ^-^

SexLab P+ compatibility is on them. Succubus Heart is fully compatible with the latest SexLab builds and should work on anything that claims compatibility. (If you have issues, you'd need to contact them about it >.<)

I understand how Hearts XP works. However; when i Level Up normally (vanilla style), getting +10 hp or stamina, it's is slowly drained. I get that I can increase stats with hearts xp to get higher max hp cap, and then i need to drain this hp from npc. What i do not understand, if that +10 hp from vanilla level up should be invalidated, a i can get stats only from succubus hearts, or is it a bug?

Intended behavior, though if I was aware of a way to allow vanilla level up status to apply without breaking compatibility I'd most certainly do so. >.<

I just started using "No Level Up Menu - SKSE" to remove the +10 per level altogether. I felt it became un-needed with being able to raise status through Succubus Heart, except for maybe in the very beginning of a playthrough. And I get the side benefit of no annoying popup to choose every level up.

I'm a little confused on a few things but the most important right now is this.

 

My character is a level 52 succubus.  I've poured a lot of my points into draining health which is currently at level 26.  I performed a flirty charm on a bandit and offered my body.  The act seemed to raise his health instead of draining him.  

 

To date, I've only ever drained two people to death.  The first was an accident after having sex with the partner 3 times in a row.  The second was intentional but also only worked if I did it two times consecutively.  Am I misunderstanding how this works or is potentially a bug?

 

Edit:

Gifted Consent grants enemies health if they consent.  I have that passive up to level 5.  Now it seems I'll have to figure out how to kill people with my vag again.

There's a bit of a conflict with that passive since some mods/triggers will still create consenting animations regardless of the circumstance. If you're using SexLab and use Succubus Heart's own stuff it 'should' work as expected, unless there's some sort of conflict I'm unaware of (OStim only creates 'consenting' animations >.<). You can also reset your passives and skip Gifted Consent.

It's taking some getting use to but I'm really loving this mod. 

 

Most of the options are self explanatory but a couple of them seem a bit confusing to me.  How does arousal affect things?  On one hand, the passive Masochist grants extra arousal but the Seducer passive grants arousal resistance so I'm a bit confused by the seemingly opposing effects. 

I think Soul Siphon+ is to increase Skill XP?  Correct?  It said that it takes all of the victim's remaining Max Status.  I'm not too clear on what that means as far as victims go.

 

Flirty Charms chills everyone out for 10 seconds.  The power suggests I can hit up to 3 others for sexy time, but I only ever have a chance to do one at a time.  Is this a group sex option or am I to activate them consecutively.  Honestly, it would be pretty cool to fuck a group to death.

 

Lastly, if I wanted to Drain Kill someone with 500 health in one go, what level of power would I need for that?  I'm trying to get a feel for succubus progression so when I play in earnest I'll have a good idea of where I am on the succubus pecking order.

 

Thank you for this really cool and compelling mod.  I'm enjoying it immensely even if I'm a complete failure of a succubus.

In the latest version it should be renamed to "Lust" and has better descriptions. Lust Resist allows your Lust to increases higher without negative effects, higher lust increases HeartXP gained but as it increases there are negative effects and your status starts to decay. (Basically a Succubus hunger mechanic)

Soul Siphon+ iirc will take the character's remaining status like Stamina and Magicka and reward it to you on a drain kill, so those status' are not lost.

Filthy Charms isn't part of Succubus Heart, unless I'm forgetting something lol

The math is displayed in the help MCM I believe? Drain starts at your base level and decreases every tick during an animation, there's a couple settings that affect this.

Oh geez!  I was so focused on this mod that I neglected to notice Flirty Charms was a Bimbos of Skyrim power.  I don't think Bimbos of Skyrim works too well with this mod as this one rewards you power for sex and BOS punishes you for it by permanently making you a little bit weaker every time you have sex.  However, there is an option to turn the player bimboification off and then it can act as a decent corruption mod for your followers and other women of Skyrim.

 

I did notice the math in the mcm.  Is the number of ticks constant among every scene?  If not, how much time passes between ticks?  

Are you actively developing this mod?  Is it more or less in it's final form or are you planning on expanding it further?

Is there a offline guide that explains how all the features work?  I noticed Soul Siphon + was changed to require fluid bonus and it mentions that you need specific fluid bonus to fully drain a specific stat.  But I can't figure out how fluid bonus works.  Sperm or breastmilk just gets me the timer and no indication of which stat it is affecting for the full drain upon death.

 

With previous versions, I would keep my Health and Stamina at 100 and Magicka at 1 then rely on Soul Siphon and the perk that allows me to go over my cap to increase my stats temporarily.  So I was slightly weaker than a regular person without sex, stronger with it, and much stronger if I drained someone to death recently.  But I can't seem to do that anymore because I can't figure out how to drain remaining stats using fluid bonus.

If I recall correctly the tick-rate is currently set to every 5 seconds? (I could be mis-remembering though) Because papyrus runs latent and speed depends on your specs + settings + script load, the actual time can vary a bit.
Mod it still in development! ^-^ It's just lower priority so don't expect updates very often, my last big attempt at an update was integrating an SKSE plugin and things didn't work out, so it's been a while since another update attempt. lol

Each skill has the hover text that tries to explain what the skill does, as well as the Help MCM, there should also be the help MCM in a text format available with the mod's download. For specifics I'd have to refer to the source/my notes as it's been a bit since I've messed with Soul Siphon, but Fluid Bonus should refer to the skill you level under Heart Levels to get stacks for consuming sexual fluids.

Ah, I think I see now.  So instead of draining all remaining stats from a victim it drains an amount limited by each of your fluid bonus levels.  Drat, but that's probably more fair.

 

I used to never use my accumulated fluids except as emergency potions and relied entirely on health draining to death to restore my stats.  So if I wanted to continue to do that I'll need to stop ignoring my fluid levels and raise them as well?

 

May I ask how the math works?  If I have a stamina fluid level of 10, does that simply drain 10 additional stamina from a victim that has stamina remaining?

 

I would also beg to have the soul trap cost reduced.  25 magicka for 20% chance is too expensive for a cool thematic ability that is overshadowed by a simple soul trap sword.

I know the fluid bonus is 1:1, so level 10 would grant 10 status. I don't remember how Soul Siphon does the math though, would need to check the source, but it should explain the amount in the hover text likely boosted by a BDSM level.

I can look into changing the cost, balance for things is pretty difficult to get right given everyone has their own load order and mods/difficulty preferences, but I've gotten enough mentions of this one costing too much. lol (It's already on the KanBan ^-^)

To be honest and candid, this was all probably me.  I'm certain this is like the 4th time I've mentioned this... 🤔

 

I know balancing is hard, especially among everyone's play styles but here's my suggestions and reasoning to make it more balanced around vanilla instead of being just a straight power bonus.

 

1. Shared Maximum stat costs

In vanilla, you get 10 stats per level and that's it.  In SH, you get experience that can be divided to increase all 3 stats (health, magicka, stamina) and those stats are tracked individually so there's no detriment from raising all 3 to the maximum.  This easily can make the payer 3x more powerful than vanilla for little cost.

 

Instead, the same cost can be applied to a single bonus stat which can then be allocated as the player wishes.  As raising 1 stat to 30 is much more expensive then raising 3 individual stats to 10. This also makes stat allocation much more interesting whereas before there's no real reason not to raise each individual stat to the max.

 

2. Additional Costs/Rewards

More options will always make the player more powerful and SH doesn't have any inherent maluses.  But you do have the option to turn off regeneration and add hunger if a player wishes.  But these are just straight negatives with no incentive other than to balance things.  If each bane came with a boon, that would make shaping your succubus much more fun.  For example:

 

Disable Health/Magicka/Stamina regeneration - Increase the corresponding stat by 50.  This gives a nice small boon to help you customize your succubus in the early game and I think would be easy to implement with the reset abilities option you have.

 

Hunger mechanic - Bonus to succubus experience gain

 

Potion efficacy reduction (to be implemented?) - I just like the idea of a succubus being dependent on fluids as potions work less well on them.  Maybe add an option to reduce all potion efficacy to 1/2 for the succubus but give a free rank in each of the fluid perks so fluids are more potent.

 

3. Limit Blood Chips to death by orgasm

Murder hoboing and getting loot as well as blood chips and special succubus items is too easy to destroy the wealth system.  To encourage succubus play, blood chips and special items should only be dropped if the enemy killed was through sex, or at least if the enemy had sex recently.  I personally turn off death drops but that means I never get any blood chips.

4. Costs reassessed

Soul Trap - Current cost of 25 magicka for 20% chance.  Reduce to 5 magicka instead.  This is a cool and thematic ability but a cost of 125 magicka for a 100% chance is too much

 

Soul Siphon - Current cost of 80 magicka for what amounts to a free, albeit reduced fluid consumption.  The previous version of draining all remaining stats was too powerful as I would gain massive stamina bonuses from victims and potentially massive magicka bonuses if I could find mages.  The new version amounts to a single free fluid that is consumed immediately and is not worth the magicka investment.  Instead, I would suggest having this option rewritten to restore magicka equal to the victim's level.  Since most enemies do not have magicka, it's difficult to keep a Succubus mage with a full tank.  This would allow a succubus to restore their magicka without consuming fluids and in a thematic way.

 

5. Permanent drain and Gifted consent with a time limit

Permanent drain is too much.  It limits me to eating respawnable NPCs only as I don't want to destroy quest NPCs and end a city.  Similarly, gifted consent is too powerful as its not hard to get and can make a follower invincible.  Can these be implemented to have a time limit instead so drained NPCs can recover and the orgasmic afterglow for your followers fade?

 

6. Experience gain time limit

Is there a way to limit the amount of experience you get per sex act?  At the moment, it's set to the amount of time you spend inside the act but that can easily be abused.  To my shame, I've set sex not to progress without a toggle before so the act continued indefinitely then I returned an hour later to massive experience gains.

 

7. Succubus chest gain limit

Could an option be added to remove the chest?  It's too powerful as it grant experience based on weight and not value.  Dumping dwemer levers in here results in massive gains.  Conversely, could it be limited to specific expensive/rare items only?  Like, perhaps it will only accept filled black soul gems for the conversion, or dremora/human hearts, or flawless gems.  This would turn it from an exploit where you dump your junk into a cool feature where you feed it valuable items in return for power.

It's been mentioned in our Discord as well, and certainly by more than just one person. lol

1 ) Not a bad idea, but implementation would require a major re-balancing and I don't think there's enough interest to justify such a major overhaul, but maybe sometime in the future. Would potentially make things easier to balance however, and been thinking about how to maybe implement it in a much simpler way. (The main problem is that certain skills share the same status cost as-to make it more expensive/difficult to stack certain passives)

2 ) People have generally disliked having the negatives, which is why they've all come up as overall optional and try not to detract from the overall systems too much, you can see this with how many people have asked for ways to disable the Lust system. Adding benefits isn't a bad idea though and is something we've been trying with said Lust system, which is the exact "Hunger Mechanic" you ask about, the more Lust you have the more experience you gain, but if Lust is too high you decay status. This mechanic is optional but you lose the exp bonus if you disable lust. (Though the system could be presented a bit better so it always feels like a bonus when enabled and not a negative when disabled)

I don't know if we can affect potion efficiency in a globally compatible way. It's handled through the magic effects system and doesn't have a universal effect we could modify at run-time as far as I'm aware that would ensure affecting all potions.

3 ) You can sacrifice life or purchase them in the Succubus Realm to get bloodchips without death drops. Do they have that heavy of an effect on the game's economy? They're not all that value-able and I haven't heard too many complaints after the last time we decreases drop values. (It's stupidly easy to break the economy in Skyrim through vanilla means anyways)

Getting blood chips only after a character has been "corrupted" by sex or something could be an interesting mechanic, like an optional passive that allows more blood-chip gain but removes them from the general drop pool, or maybe making death drops in general a passive to unlock. The main reason death drops are a thing is because not everyone is going through and engaging in sex constantly or using all the Succubus abilities, so death drops allow those players to still slowly gain status and more HeartXP without needing to completely change their playstyle.

4 ) Costs are very difficult to balance, so I appreciate feedback in this area and will certainly need to check out some things. Soul Siphon is planned to have scaling applied but it doesn't look like it currently does (pretty sure it's on the TODO list) which will help resolve these issues.

5 ) Tracking NPCs is extremely costly for scripts and something I try and avoid. NPCs do actually respawn and reset their values after you've not seen them for long enough just like locations will respawn. You can toggle drain on/off or use the "drain hostiles only" setting to limit who you actually drain. Gifted Consent can be powerful and, as with everything, is always up for debate on what balance changes to make. Adding a dynamic status bonus over-time requires tracking we want to avoid, I think a better solution would be to add a limit to max status based on level (maybe based on the player's own max possible levels?) to prevent the "infinite health" issue, something we also had to fix for the player character. lol

6 ) On default settings we have a decay for drain that could theoretically apply to HeartXP if we wanted. Technically since Lust changes HeartXP gain you will gain less after an orgasm, but nothing stops an endless sex HeartXP farm, will just get less over-time. (I've previously considered having Lust get consumed during acts, which would then apply this lower amount of HeartXP gain, and setting the minimum to potentially 0% gain, changing the disable setting to leave Lust at "100%". Needs some testing though.)

7 ) It's actually both weight AND value for how much HeartXP the endless void grants, I don't know if this one is currently an issue as going to the Succubus Realm now has a cost associated with it, limiting the trips one can make, but idk. I think most people don't even realize it's available. lol
 

I've written down a couple notes into my KanBan and will think more on stuffs, thank you for the feedback! ^-^ I'm currently distracted by other projects so it may be a bit, but next time I start working with these mechanics I'll try and make a couple changes and see if we land in a better spot. =^-^= (And sorry for the delayed response, wanted to actually think about each suggestion and write down notes >.<)
