Lovely Rose Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Should seriously be a monster. BUT any advice or things about AWOP:? i HEARD it was really rough on fallout itself and real crashy? I was thinking of downloading it, but i honestly dont want to waste the time downloading it if its going to crash left and right. Was just curious what others thought about it http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/38719/?
flutie Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I have used AWOP for awhile now, with little problems, but I also run NV anti-crash http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/53635/?, YUP http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/51664/?, and AWOP - Balance and Cleanup http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/53616/?, with these 3 mods, i have had very little crashing
Lovely Rose Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 how many new monsters does it add?
flutie Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 not a lot, just a lot of beefed up ghouls, deathclaws and such, its more the creature stats have been boosted, put it this way, had to shoot a fire gecko in the head twice with a barret 82 50 cal, they will swarm you, if you play, be ready to get your ass kick and save alot
Lovely Rose Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 ill check em out. thought the dl was alot bigger haa
Guest Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Never had any issues with AWOP without MoMod, absolutely stable if my game is stable and load order is ok. It's one of the most beautiful mods in Fallout, as any other mod from DjMystro, I really suggest it.
Lovely Rose Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 i use alot of like. random mods, their stable but not with others. so i might have problems who knows. im a rebel when it comes to using things i shouldnt. XD
panthercom Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I assume your talking about AWOP for New Vegas. I haven't had any problems with it, performance-wise. In AWOP for Fallout 3 there were a few locations that had some major lag issues. Honestly, I liked AWOP for Fallout 3 the most. It had the most visually stunning locations of any FO3 mod, ever. Fallout 3 Interiors also added some incredible locations, but the scale of AWOP at it's best has never been surpassed. Playing FO3 as a child character using COTW, Lucy from Little Lamplight as my companion, discovering the Old Olney Underground for the first time... that is the most incredible FO3 memory for me
Guest Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 their stable but not with others AWOP mainly introduces new locations. I really doubt you can conflict with something like that. Worst thing is you can't find AWOP's door that leads you to a certain location. Also, vanilla navmesh wasn't touched for what I know.
panthercom Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 The only conflict I ever found with AWOP for New Vegas was that it prevented Rocket, (the Sexout wonder dog) from appearing, probably because AWOP spawns characters right about where Rocket is supposed to show up. I might expect some problems with the Factions Reloaded mod, or the More Fiends mod that could add players around one of the AWOP buildings near the Vault 3 area.
ToxicKetchup Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Use as many performance boosting mods, scripts and tools as possible. It'll offset any crashing, or possibly eliminate it entirely.
GreatKazooMan Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Even with my buggy FoNV I didn't have too many issues with the mod. Sure I get crashes every now and then, but there was only one that never worked for me - near the toxic lake where the dead doctor is and his crazed Mister Handy you need to kill. AWOP adds a bunker there that crashes my game every time, so I think it has a problem there. Maybe it just needs a cleanup in FNVEdit, but I don't use it... BUT, the mod is very cool and gives you a LOT of Raiders, Jackals and Powder Gangers to shoot. Nice quests and extra people to find, too.
