Please tell me modding for this game isn't dead

Title. I mean I would hope not cause it does have potential to bring some of the OG mods in for a good remaster version but everything feels so slow right now. I hope people are still actively modding this version.

Well the latest posts are from December, Nexus and Here has no notable projects, and the is poorly optimized, and there's skyblivion just around the corner of this year, so I'm pretty sure this game has been abandoned, i'm more mad i can't get a refund.

Stuff certainly isn't moving much. Baking for Mara is still getting updated and maintained over in our Discord/Forum ( https://forum.thebrokenchatbox.com/d/13-baking-for-mara-erotic-animation-framework-for-tesiv-oblivion-r ) but I'm not aware of anything else really going on and we haven't had new animations in months. I hate to admit it, but yeah, things are pretty much 'dead' when compared to other elder scroll titles. There's still interest from players, still see new people getting into BFM, but modders just don't seem interested in learning Unreal to mod stuffs.

I still hope every single day, that new mods will drop wether its nsfw or not. I go into loverslab, and nexus everyday. But sadly still no new mods. If you look at steamcharts there are still an overwhelmingly majority that plays Oblivion Remastered compared to the original Oblivion. But even though no new nsfw comes around. So I know how you feel Stellarvampire, I wish more mods would drop too, but sadly it seems unlikely, even if Oblivion remastered is still more popular than OG oblivion player count wise, it still looks unlikely because of how hard it is to mod Oblivion Remastered compared to OG oblivon. Anyways lets cross our fingers together and hope for the best. Maybe we will be surprised in the future

I haven't touched the original Oblivion in over 10 years because of its frequent bugs... and why should I touch this game again just because it's received a graphical "improvement" with the Unreal Engine? Because underneath, the gameplay is still the same buggy mess as the original.

 

Mod authors (especially for quest mods) now have to deal with two things at once: the broken base engine and the graphics engine tacked on top.

Anyone who can even be motivated to do this... besides the necessary learning curve, they also need the right tools... and some of these cost real money.

I mean I am looking forward to seeing how BFM comes along and I hope one day it will be completely fleshed out. So I wish you and whoever is helping you with it the best of luck for this and godspeed. Hope this works out.
