Balboa2151 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Hey all.....i know this has probably been asked a thousand times.....but i need desperate help....I have alan's armor mod installed but i don't think i did it correctly.....i combined the two bsa's files using hjslpit and put them in my data folder but I'm have trouble with the esp's .....description page says choose only one esp for pack one and one esp for pack two according to your choice. (Either light armor or heavy armor, but not both.(For example, You can choose heavy armor with 30 Armor Rating of pack 1 and light armor with 1 Armor Rating of pack 2. But not two esp in same pack.) what the hell does this mean? I tried every scenario trying to loading the esp's into the data folder but nothing is working....i pulled every rating and put it in data folder and nothing works .....when i go into game the armors are there but they are invisible and when i put the on my follower she's invisible......can someone please explain to me how to get mod to work......any help would be greatly appreciated....thank yuo
Veladarius Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I believe you are talking about this mod: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/6377-updated-923alans-bbp-armor-pack-22-english-version-by-alan/?hl=%20alan  Each armor package (BBP1 and BBP2) has 8 different esp's - 4 for light armor and 4 for heavy armor and each of these have different armor values for the armor (1, 30, 60 and 100). Choose 1 esp for each armor package.  When you are done you should have 2 files for each package, an esp and a bsa.
Uriel Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Who said to combine .bsa's??????????? You should end up with BBP_ArmorPack.esp/BBP_ArmorPack.bsa and BBP_ArmorPack2.esp/BBP_ArmorPack2.bsa.
Balboa2151 Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 Thank for replying....sorry....i guess i should of been more informative of which mod i have.....its allan's bbp pack 2.2......the files for the first pack come as 10 separate bsa files....the second pack come as three separate files.....i used hjsplit to join each pack to make them as one and put two separate bsa folders in my data folder......the esp file has 4 different ratings for heavy and light......and as veladarius says " choose one esp for each armor package" i don't know why but this is confusing the shit out of me........if i pull an esp out of each armor ....light and heavy.....what the hell do i do with it and where do i put it? I tried for hours last night trying to get it to work....first i put each esp in the bsa folder....that didn't work....so then i put one esp from each folder into data folder and that didn't work......what exactly do i do with the esp's and where do i install them.....the armor is in my game but its invisible under forging.......thank you again for taking the time to help me
TheDriedFinger Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Okay, so let's go through the steps: You've already used hjslpit to reassemble the BSA archives. You should now have two BSA archives: "BBP_ArmorPack.bsa" and "BBP_ArmorPack2.bsa". If you do not have these two files, you have done something wrong. Next, there are four usable "BBP_ArmorPack.esp" and four usable "BBP_ArmorPack2.esp" files. You have chosen one of each depending on what armor rating you would like these armors to have in your game. Next, copy or move these files into your Skyrim installation's "Data" folder. You should now have four new files in that "Data" folder: "BBP_ArmorPack.esp", "BBP_ArmorPack.bsa","BBP_ArmorPack2.esp", and "BBP_ArmorPack2.bsa". (There is no such thing as a separate BSA folder.) Everything should now be installed. You can now use a Mod Manager or the Skyrim Launcher to customize the load order of these plugins.
Uriel Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 For less confusion with .bsa's, you can just download a torrent. A magnet link is at the bottom of the page. About the .esp's: you need to chose either light or heavy. You can combine - use light BBP_ArmorPack.esp and heavy BBP_ArmorPack2.esp. All the files must be located in the Skyrim\Data\ directory.

Balboa2151 Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 I installed everything and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.....all the armor is showing up at the forge but there isn't any pictures....and when I try to use armor on Lydia she becomes invisible....this is the problem I've been having from day one?
Uriel Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 This means skyrim can't find the .bsa files with resources. Are you sure .bsa's are in the same folder as .esp's? If they are, then your .bsa's are probably messed up.
TechPrince Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Use 7zip to extract. Your downloaded files / extracted files are corrupt.
TheDriedFinger Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Assuming that you installed the files as has already been mentioned (all four files in the Data folder), if your problems persist, TechPrince is probably right: your BSA files are corrupted or were not properly put together by hjsplit. I used PeaZip to do it a few months ago and it works perfectly.
Balboa2151 Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 ok......thank you everyone for you time....i'll try peazip and let you know if it works
Balboa2151 Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 I love you guys.......lol......I used 7zip instead of hjsplit and I got everything to work perfect......thank you.....thank you.....thank you for all the help and support.....everyone here is the greatest
