combine_47 Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Hey, guys! Has anyone tried using SexLab with neural networks? How did it go? Is it even worth trying, considering my computer isn't exactly powerful? It only has 8 GB of video memory.
traison Posted March 26 Posted March 26 (edited) I have not yet seen any AI component in Skyrim that didn't take about a minute to respond. Local or not. Waiting for instant AI voice generation myself so that I can finally get my own quests voiced and expanded. Yes I know about ElevenLabs, and no I have no intentions to buy a monthly subscription (+ probably whatever the Skyrim voices are paywalled behind) to generate a few lines a few times a year. Edit: and yes I know about xva, but I don't like my voices to sound like they were produced by a badly lubricated toaster. Edited March 26 by traison
Bluegunk Posted March 28 Posted March 28 (edited) I'm a user of a Skyrim AI project (currently on Discord) that uses AI to voice and provide a history for every NPC in Skyrim. This extends to mods and modded followers, including Ostim and Sexlab. Basically I can acquire two vanilla mod-added followers and instead of being YoungFemaleEager they become whatever basic story you give them, and they continue to build as you play the game, remembering everything that happened, writing their own diaries, and becoming characters in their own right. And that includes their sex lives. This will eventually reach Nexus once it is mature enough. A user does engage in some subscription costs to Large Language Models but I don't find it particularly expensive. About $10 every couple of months. There is also the CHIM AI system which is currently on Nexus. It's a very similar system, but branched out a slightly different way. It's great fun, and I used it for quite some time before moving to the Discord community. Again some subscription to LLM products is inevitable. With both systems, voice creation and all the interactive AI is via the Internet. CHIM reckons on needing up to 4GB VRAM which is needed to process the Internet streaming data locally. Which leaves you 4GB VRAM for running the game and the PC. Basically the lighter your base game, the faster the results. If your Internet connection is fast, you should see around a 0-3 second pause before the actor speaks. But this can be delayed and there are no guarantees. In the Discord project I generate AI NPC and follower voices via XTTS locally on an adjacent laptop and get a much swifter response. And saves me cash. Edited March 28 by Bluegunk
