How do you download mods on Project Zombiod

I've been trying to download non steam mods on project zombiod for a while and not been able to get it to work.

I download the mod

I Unzip

I move the mod to the mods folder

but it doesn't show up during the game or in the mods list in the game

you will need to unzip the zipped mod into the mods folder inside the zomboid folder inside the user folder for the user you are on your pc.
then if they are possible to use on the version of project zomboid you are able to see them ingame.

usually the mods are packed in a way that the correct folder structure is inside the zipfile so make sure you unzip the content of it without having the unzip creating a folder in which you then have the mods folder structure.
