Thats interesting, I do use pandora myself, but I never noticed that option so I simply left it unselected. Where did you find that info? 

 

I will add a remark to my installation guide, so people avoid this issue.

It was one of the comments on TNTR's nexus page. Fourth comment down as of now.

Thanks I've found it. I've added a remark to all installation instructions, I would assume that the chance that people on LL run Pandora is rather high.

I'm not sure if it's even this mod, or the fault of the original TNTR, but when I step in a Beartrap my character does the animation and all, but then I'm essentially softlocked. No QTE, no way out, nothing. Am I doing something wrong? Are the default numbers in the TNTR MCM complete nonsense and it displays the UI off screen? I'm not sure honestly. 

 

I have TNTR, Watch Your Step, QTE and your mod installed, and the tntr option in Pandora is unchecked. I have been able to get out of snare traps just fine before, not sure about mimics.

The bear trap does not do a QTE game naturally, so if you run the patched bear trap you need to install struggling QTE (as it says in the fomod installer)

 

- If you run the patched bear trap and have struggling QTE installed its a bug

- Try to verify if uninstalling the patched bear trap fixes it

- If it does, I don't know the cause and you need to provide logs so I can figure it out

I have the exact same setup + struggling qte mod and I have this exact same issue. Every bear trap softlocks me and I have to reload an earlier save. No QTE ever shows up.

As I said, I will need at least a log otherwise I won't be able to help you.

If I had to guess, check if you have all dependencies for Struggling QTE (i.e. scrabs papyrus extender) thats all I can suggest.

Personally I do have the requirements, QTE works for Practical Defeat. I'll try to get logs if I can though.

- If you remove the patched bear trap script, does it now work?

- You do not run any mod that places baka bear traps, are you testing the bear traps in the test cell?

2. Need to find out, haven't gotten the chance to go ingame yet

3. I'm using this mod to base object swap all vanilla beartraps with Baka ones.

Alright, disabling the patched scripts makes the trap work as normal, the character simply frees themselves without QTE. With patched scripts, softlock.

You probably did not install Struggling QTE from the link and use "Acheron Extension Library" which is outdated and won't work for this.

 

Either that, or your STrugglingQTE installation is faulty in any other way I cannot comprehend

Ah, so it's another mod Scrab renamed except it's still the same mod underneath. Well it says I downloaded the mod, but perhaps I downloaded it while it was still called AEL. The Extra Evil Traps MCM even has the QTE box checked. Anyhow I'll redownload and check.

Extra Evil Traps version 1.1.0 worked perfectly for me, but after updating to Extra Evil Traps v1.2.1, I encountered an error after escaping the mimic trap and bear trap. My character couldn't move, open the inventory, or draw weapons. I save and load. Then the bug will be gone., but when I tried the trap again, the error persisted.

Please follow the guide for reporting bugs.

 

Blocking character movement is default TNTR behavior and unlikely related to EET, but its impossible to tell if I don't have necessary infos.

 

Also, because you apparently updated the mod mid-save from 1.0.x to 1.2.x, please test it on a fresh save to rule out that its a broken migration.

- I use scrab extension library 2.1.5 did not test other versions

- The QTE MCM in TNTR will reset on game load so that won't tell you anything about the active settings

I tried a fresh save but the error persists. But, if mimic eat player can't error. The bug only occurs when i escape and the mimic doesn't eat the player.

Hey so I think I've figured it out, but it has nothing to do with TNTR.

 

Its an interference with Unforgiving Devices, which I can fix.

 

Thanks for the thorough log-dump I would have never figured that out without it.

Thanks, my mimic bug has been fixed, but there's still a small bug with the bear traps. when I stepped on too many bear traps in a short period of time, the player gets stuck in the animation loop or becomes uncontrollable. However, if the time between stepping on the trap is approximately 60s, there is no error.

For me, the "Search Chest" prompt never disappears during the whole multi-stage struggling process. Do you guys also see this behaviour?
