current animating guide/info/downloads

hello LL

 

i am posibly interested in learning how to mod + animate the sims 4. however the current guide in this forum is outdated and contains alot of dead links. would anyone happen to know the best place to find a current (2026) guide for animating the sims and maiing packages?

Where are you extracting the files to? Some people have issues because they put the animations in the WW subfolder in the downloads folder, but they don't work there. You need to put them in the downloads folder, no deeper. (so they should be documents>>electronic arts>>the sims>>downloads).

I assume you mean the "Mods" folder, not the downloads. And unless it has somehow changed with the last WW version, yes, it can go deeper than the Root folder. In fact, I have mine in a folder called "Animations" and inside of these I have another for Poses and WW detects them without issue. I'll go as far as to say I put an animation .package in the root of the Mods Folder and WW didn't detect it haha.
