Jarnin Posted April 25 Posted April 25 23 hours ago, DocClox said: It's under "I have a special request", rather than something on the menu. Just in case that helps. That's what's missing: I can access her menu items, but the dialog option to kick off the next stage in the quest isn't popping up and there's no quest marker. At this point I honestly don't care. I walked into Anchorpoint and started a couple of the miscellaneous quests from the folks between the entrance and the bartender. I should probably preface this by stating that I'm role-playing a bounty hunter who has taken on the mantle of the Mantis. My character's name is Mantis, she's wearing the Mk. 2 armor, and she flies the Razorleaf. I talked to three NPCs and they all asked me to do criminal-type shit without a second glance. Any time I jump into a system I'm greeted by a spacer or Fleet encounter where they're scared shitless of my character, but here they don't even blink. So, the Mantis asks a mechanic about her robot dog, and she asks THE MANTIS to pirate some prototype parts from a UC ship in UC space. Nope. Then the Mantis talks to the local security guy, and he wants me to go take out some spacers; no problemo! But then he says I shouldn't kill them all... because they're patrons. What the fuck? So then the Mantis talks to a weapons dealer, who asks me to smuggle some toxic contraband out of Freestar space... Did I accidentally end up on a nicer version of The Key? I mean, the mechanic is a young woman with a criminal background and a thing for machines, who is totally undervalued and overworked... Geezus on a pogo stick! I'm on The Key 2.0! I might come back and give it another go if Bethesda fixes the issue in their post-release patch. Of course I'm not expecting that to happen before the second half of May, so it's totally possible I'll get distracted by something shiny and forget.
Battletooth Posted April 25 Posted April 25 To me Starfield was massive disappointment. I did like it at first hours, after while it just got boring and repetitive and also annoying ugh.. I tried again after free lanes and bought steam version for SKSE mods, just big mistake, everything is practically same, also had some game breaking bugs(had to use console to solve them). After i rushed main quest, i lost interest to do TA, so i think i will try go back after they fix free modding, give some good updates and QoL and there is some adult modding existing too. I have those 1000 CC credits too, i was going to buy Trackers alliance, but i just totally lost interest for game. Still playing FO4 again, i just wish it could have better mechanichs, so i think i could try mod it a bit, take some annoyances off, like temples, and remove constellation companions and try focus on combat and perhaps outposts and ships. And play that TA too, im on NG+ with lvl50, i can take previous save and add mods if something goes wrong, or just continue NG+(i already skipped main quest there). Im not given up yet for SF, but i hope they dont mess up with TES6.
brown66 Posted May 3 Posted May 3 (edited) After spending my free time on a long weekend playing Oblivion Remastered, I decided to detox and return to Starfield, having completed the final mission of the House Sitting miniquest. Those who finish this miniquest should pay close attention to its ending! After completing it, talk to the two sisters. See everything they have to say about each other and about themselves. And, very importantly!, also wait to watch the dialogue where Atka asks Yura for help cleaning the house. What seemed like a pointless and boring mission turned into a real gem! It's because Starfield has quests and dialogues that talk about unpleasant and harsh things in real life that many people don't like this game. I love it! Edited May 3 by brown66 1
brown66 Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Another gem in Starfield. In my country there's a saying that goes, when you offer something too good to someone who doesn't know how to appreciate what's truly good, it's like casting pearls before swine. https://youtu.be/_bVnvpOu4Sw I included the video link instead of inserting it in this message because I was getting an error when posting it. 1
