I thought that all the textures needed for the mod are supplied in separate BSA file, so the meshes/textures I use for my character should not matter. Am I wrong? It's the skins that are messed up, not the meshes.
Grumpf Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Meshes UV will map textures so yes, meshes will overwrite that behavior. Check what kind of mod you use that is hard coded in your Oblivion and you'll find the problem for sure.

Varnol Posted December 26, 2011 Author Posted December 26, 2011 Well I was determined to keep Robert's bodies as they seem to be the most anatomically correct (especially the legs and pelvic area, some of the popular models hurt my eyes because of apparent disrespect towards joints area) But, I found out that Robert's bodies don't have big breasted variants (well, technically they do, but the mesh is ugly) so I ended up switching to more popular in adult mods set of bodies. Some of them are weird 0_0. But i guess it's easier to overlook broken knees, but misshapen breast is noticed immideatly. Well, that's said, my texture problem is fixed now, heh.

legit1337 Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 I'm using the standard DMRA body, and I still get vanilla textures on Lizbeth and Lidya so far, augusta is ok though because she is an imperial, and the godess that appeared in the dream is good too. Is there a filepath that I can put textures into that will fix this? Vanilla textures on DMRA are so ugly.

Here's the tree structure of the data\textures\characters\vtoy folder, everything in it can be replaced, simply create the same structure in your oblivion folder with the same name and it'll overwrite what's in the BSA. So for example, you can see that the race called "black demon" has a file named "kfootfemale.dds", that's clearly a body texture file (anything names footfemale etc, you'll figure it out). If you create the same subfolder in your Oblivion and copy a .dds file theat works well for you and rename it, that'll do the trick. I looked through all of the files and I can't find one that is clearly marked. I'm assuming that its not in one of the /(black)(blue)(white)demon folders, the /babe folder just has hair textures etc... If I had to hazard a guess.... [bSA\Textures\Characters\VToy\footfemale.dds] and [bSA\Textures\Characters\VToy\footfemale_n.dds]?

Here's the tree structure of the data\textures\characters\vtoy folder' date=' everything in it can be replaced, simply create the same structure in your oblivion folder with the same name and it'll overwrite what's in the BSA. So for example, you can see that the race called "black demon" has a file named "kfootfemale.dds", that's clearly a body texture file (anything names footfemale etc, you'll figure it out). If you create the same subfolder in your Oblivion and copy a .dds file theat works well for you and rename it, that'll do the trick. Now, if it works for you, be a dear and create a zip file containing your changes so I can upload it in the optional file section on the Nexus for other players like you. Cheers! I'm running L world, which is a variant of XEO, which changes every NPC in the game to a different race. The vanilla ones aren't even used and I never installed textures for them. So if I were to install ozmo's texture pack for vanilla races, the ugly vanilla textures would go away?

So most vtoy races will point out to imperial\footfemale.dds texture. If you can replace this texture every "important" CLS NPC will have correct mapping and texture but it may break the new L world ones... Play CLS without it and re-enable it afterwards, that's the simplest as the changes it provides are a bit too extreme... Besides, CLS is basically a L world too...
