Edit: After turning off all other mods except for UnifiedSavePath and this mod, it worked fine. So it seems there were other mods causing the problem.

Edit2: After checking, it was found that the DF NSFW mod was the cause. In fact, DF NSFW breaks the behavior of all characters.



idk if it'll help but I found that the DF nsfw mod works on the current build if you go into the json file and change so that "has_dll" is set to false, I also did the same for "affects_gameplay" though idk if that is necessary or not

also in the sprite_kit_config both silent and defect are set to true so that might have been a problem

 

I don't even have the dll file in the mods folder in the game directory

though idk if there are custom animations for the mod then they probably won't work, the death animation does still work though

You can install mods by using an archive extractor such as 7zip (it's free) or winrar to exctract (right click it, > 7zip > exctract to... ) the files and put them in 
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Slay the Spire 2\mods (if there is no "mods" folder, create one)
Some mods may have requirements such as Baselib (Blackedcards and the regent mod do I think), you can download it here https://www.nexusmods.com/slaythespire2/mods/103 and install it as any other mod. Then put the mod's folder that require Baselib inside the Baselib folder.
If you're not sure if a mod has requirements, install it normally then go to setting (in game) then mod settings, red mods should tell you they're missing something.
>>> Remember to read mod's descriptions before installing them !

That's a cool mod with the special summon et blacked upgrade at camp, but it's not worth losing 80% of my frames... big performance issues with it, menu scrolling is freaking out.
My pc specs are really sub-par so that's probably why, anyone else with this issue ?

For me its fine unless any of the "Card editor and Card creator" or any of the mods that can mass change card images are enabled at the same time. Then its frames = gone.

Oh that's where it comes from. I do have card editor on too, didn't think these 2 mods would conflict like that. Good to know.

Mod creators usually release their work on an app called QQ. It's quite difficult to get into those groups, so I'll be re-posting some of them here.

Alternatively, you can visit video sites like Bilibili and search for 杀戮尖塔2mod. Some mod showcase videos will have download links in their descriptions.
