In any case, the conflict has now become public, so some of the modders I follow have stopped updating their work. If the situation escalates further, they may flee this community. The creator of  Neow skin has made it clear that he has no plans to share it publicly, he does not want to get caught up in the controversy. Modders are warning each other to keep their distance from STS2 community for this time being

 

If I could get into the modders' inner channel, I might be able to get my hands on the mod. But their internal channel are extremely secretive, only modders are allowed to enter. All I can do is chase after illusions.

Instead of keeping his mouth shut, Ana took a foolish response

He made some inflammatory remarks in his group—and since it was a large group, the screenshots leaked almost immediately

 

The situation has now reached the official Discord server. Sadly saying, this conflict will certainly continue

The situation is very chaotic right now, so I can't vouch for the accuracy of the details. I'd rather give a general overview

 

1.They are calling for the complete removal of paywalls

2.At this point, IrisRaphael appears to be positioning himself as the opinion leader in this matter. However, there is no evidence to suggest that he speaks for the official position

3.Ana made an emotional statement, suggesting that he could find a way to legalize paywalls (unconfirmed)

4.Most Chinese modders have remained silent and have not publicly declared their support for either side

5.STS2 players are joining other gaming communities Ana has been part of and pushing their opinions

6.Content behind paywalls has been leaked on Chinese social media, some of which demand payment

The following is my personal analysis：

 

Ana is a full-time modder, other chinese modders have also stated that they need funding to hire professionals. Their mod projects are typically led by artists, hiring other professionals to complete

 

This drama may affect Ana's participation at STS2, but it is unlikely to cause him to remove the paywall

Mint has released the Beta of his mod featuring the Ironclad and Silent. I got it from his discord.

Though I for reasons unknown to me cant seem to get it to work. Perhaps someone knows why? I dropped it into the mod folder can see it in the mod settings in game, but the characters dont change.

Nope, that's all I did. But it doesn't seem to work with the Beta branch, in case you were on that.

ive tested it out, if you are using the beta version then it wont work. on normal that fix did work, at least thats how it went for me.

Would love to see them, if the offer to share in DMs is still available.

 

Really hoping kemono fixes itself soon so we can get access to Ana's patreon again, i'm broke af so getting the mods the legal method of paying for them ain't exactly an option.
