Porting Original FF Race to Fallout3/NV

I'm currently working on Fallout3/NV version FF race, however I keep getting some texture mismatching issue.

When I ran this with blender or nifskope, it looked perfectly fine, but when I run the game, it becomes some wiered shape.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

You can get the non-distorted face by adding

00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

to the race and preset face geometry data, but it still get's distorted everytime it blinks. Also, as you can see in the screen shot, the body and hair don't fit at all.

Looks like there's lots of work ahead of you. You might want to check moonshadow and xenh (sp?) to see how they did it. I'm not a modder so I wouldn't know.

ewwww, looks like it may need some minor adjustements, sometimes you see the face wrong, bulbous eyes and teeth outside the mouth on x117 races and ingame they look alright, maybe you have to center on an existing race, then adjust the places where everything will have to be, even if they look horrendous on nif skope they will look fine once you begin the game

Well, in that case, I should remove egm and tri file and add eyes to the character, which will block all facial movements.

I do not know much about working the head mesh, what I do know I learned from reading comments coldblade made when he created his custom head for oblivion and the tutorial on nexus that was created from what the navi race authors learned.

The big problem with modding the head from what I have learned is going to be the topology. which needs to match the vanilla's races as closely as possible in order to use the vanilla morphs without any strange goings on.

I would start by experimenting with the tutorials on nexus about working the head mesh and creating custom morphs and take it from there on a trial and error basis
