I personally prefer to leave that area darker, as it works the best with a lot of the skins I use. Deleting that part of the texture of the swatches is not really an option, and making it whiter will create visual issues with other skins. In this case, I think the best alternative is to create swatches for that specific skin you use. Let me know which one it is, and if I have some extra time, I will create new swatches for it.

I'm used to using the two colors circled in green, probably the first color in the original color palette. Sometimes I lower the opacity when using your mod, but it doesn't feel as appealing, so I'm quite torn.
