M.BISON Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 hello i think this is the right place to post this i brought the original dvd copy of skyrim last year and plan on buying the LE(dvd) because it works out cheaper than downloading all the dlc's will it be okay with steam? to have two skyrims? any difference when modding? im pretty sure there isn't but i read somewhere about some people having issues
BruceWayne Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 It's the same. There is no difference between boxed copies and steam-versions of Skyrim.
Ark of Truth Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Not sure about retail versions. But the likely hood is when you place in the code it will just upgrade the old version to the LE one.

Ark is correct. I had Fallout New Vegas and Steam upgraded it when I bought and installed the Ultimate Edition.
Ark of Truth Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 It will just say something along the lines of "One or more items in this package is already redeemed on this account, you will NOT get a extra copy" so on so forth. But like Bruce said, they are the same game regardless considering the retail version requires Steam!
M.BISON Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 thanks for the help guys!! cant wait to get back onto skyrim with a better system and all the dlc's with the LE
