To expand upon this, jgammey noted in the linked issues thread that you can streamline the download by running the command:

sDepotDownloadFileFilter "MONSTER_HUNTER_STORIES_3_TWISTED_REFLECTION.exe"

prior to running the command :

download_depot 2852190 2852191 3293633762746700825

This will result in it only downloading the file needed, rather than attempting to download everything.  Given said file is only 356 MB, this is more efficient than waiting for 1GB to download before stopping it.

The issues have now been resolved.

The first REFramework updates didn’t work properly yet, but the latest update from here works perfectly — finally no more crashes :

So the real modding can finally begin.
 

For anyone who isn’t familiar with the setup, here’s a quick reminder:

1. Download the latest REFramework Nightly :
https://github.com/praydog/REFramework-nightly/releases

2. Extract dinput8.dll from the ZIP file into your game installation folder .

3. Start the game once so the reframework folder gets created, then enable “Load loose files” in the REFramework menu.

4. Close the game and extract your mods either into the reframework folder or (for loose file mods) into the natives folder .

5. Start the game again and enjoy your mods.

No, the instruction is not “delete one of these files” — it’s to use only the required file.

If you’re only using REFramework for MHS3 (so no VR setup), you only need the reframework folder and the dinput8.dll file in your game directory.

The other files can be left out or removed if you extracted them, as they’re meant for VR setups and can cause issues if used in a non-VR setup.

Jmedia7 has started working on it and has taken Requests, as usual, delivered a very high-quality nude mod for all female characters (18+).

Considering the effort put into it and the final result... just great once  more. The guy clearly knows what he’s doing — no half measures.

Theres also the question of the familiar friend in the third town. Its nice to see some activity for mods at least.

If you’re going to make that kind of claim, you should at least take the time to read things properly and in full.

It says nowhere that it covers all characters.
“All Characters 18+” doesn’t mean the mod includes every 18+ character — it means that all characters included in the mod are 18+.

Part of the description:
Includes the female MC (nude replaces default outfit, underwear replaces leather armour), Eleanor, and Kora.

If you aren't bothered by putting in a little work, that would be a fairly easy mod to make yourself given the general simplicity of the models in this game.  You would need Blender, RE Asset Library, and RE Mesh Editor.  Then you could just import a body, set up a lattice over the chest, reference it with lattice modifiers on the relevant parts of the mesh, and adjust it to the size you want.  Then apply the changes and export.  Likely, you could then use the same lattice for most of the armor with minimal tweaking needed (some armour might have bits that require more specific adjustments, and others might have parts you want to separate so that they don't get modified, then re-join them after.  There may also be some armour with bits on the chest that have bones or the like that will need adjusting to match their new positions).

Fair point about my wording — that could have been clearer.
I didn’t mean it includes all female characters, but that all characters included are 18+.

That said, Unkwn also mentioned he “saw that”, so it wasn’t based on my post alone — seems like more of a general misunderstanding than just one sentence.

Also, as I can see now, Jmedia has posted the mod here on LoversLab as well — so it’s no longer behind a paywall.
 

Alright, but let’s not dive too deep into this discussion. We all make mistakes and learn from them. I apologize again for the lack of clarity — I assumed the Patreon description would be taken into account as well, rather than just my wording, based on the context of the reply.

What matters is that everything is clear now and everyone understands what was meant.

I already thanked you for the mod via PM and on Patreon, but I’m happy to say it again here: thank you for the great work! And thanks for the communication as well.

And honestly, I don’t think the initial Patreon release was an issue to begin with. Considering the amount of work that goes into something like this, it’s fair to expect some support early on. Most creators make their content public after some time anyway.

Agreed.  Mistakes in communication happen, and while clarity should be strived for, one should not be criticized harshly when miswording or ambiguity arises.  Especially in text based conversation where tone is readily misread, and there's no feedback from the recipient to judge if they are properly understanding your point as you are making it.

I also agree that there's nothing wrong with releasing such work behind a paywall.  I just find it weird that there are not also public posts to advertise the paywalled work.  Like, I'd think some free public posts that have screenshots and descriptions of the mods that have been made, likely with links to the paywalled posts that actually have the mods would be useful in trying to bring in new supporters.  As it is, the only thing someone going to the patreon has to go off of is the post titles, which specify the games the mods are for, but give no details as to the nature of the mods.  There also doesn't seem to be some other site being used to advertise things in a more organized fashion, though the link to a loverslab profile does suggest that they regularly show off stuff here (and a quick look at their profile does bear that out, but it doesn't seem to cover everything).

 

At any rate, it's reasonable for a mod creator to desire some payment for their work, though it's also appreciated when they provide it for free.

Jmedia is one of the best modders. They make good mods and share them publicly at some point. Way better then others like frannylou. Who charge insane prices to get older mods and bully forum owners and police them into never sharing their mods. Would never support someone who bully website owners like this

I think this happened because jmedia uses a separate material for the nipples for an unknown reason.
I've been working on my own mod for the game and I didn't run into this issue.

Just realized the response and wanted to clarify:

Yes, I read the title of the pack as "All female characters" Meaning the whole female crew, not the crew -1 as I interpreted the part of 18+ being a usual disclaimer with any NSFW project. So yea, just a misinterpretation and understanding situation.

 

To also clarify: The part I asked about the old friend in the 3rd area was meant to be a separate question as I love that we get to see them again but would appreciate an NSFW mod for them too. (Trying to not be spoilery since it still could be spoiler if one takes time to play through with grind like I did)

Here's all her models and textures from the game.  These are still in the file formats RE-Engine uses, but you can load them into blender with some mix of the RE-Mesh Editor, RE-Chain Editor, and RE-Toolbox plugins.  From what I can tell, her cooking outfit isn't actually in the game as a model, and might just be a pre-rendered cutscene, as it doesn't appear among the files that I can find.

Based on Jmedia's nude mod, it seems to just be her normal outfit but with some parts removed so that she's down to a base long sleeve and the apron is a separate texture added during the cutscene. I only think so cause she's still fully nude with the mod while cooking and the apron makes an appearance during it.
