I believe the mod works with full game. The game crashes but I think it's not because of the mod but because REframework is not updated yet for full game.

Uh, there is. But there are some problems right now, REFramework crashes the game.
Dev is working on it.

Update:
The issues have now been resolved.

The first REFramework updates didn’t work properly yet, but the latest update from here works perfectly — finally no more crashes:
https://github.com/praydog/REFramework-nightly/releases

There are already a few mods available on Nexus, including the nude mod mentioned earlier in this thread:

TestBarbie.7z 185.66 kB · 16 downloads

So the real modding can finally begin.

For anyone who isn’t familiar with the setup, here’s a quick reminder:

1. Download the latest REFramework Nightly:
https://github.com/praydog/REFramework-nightly/releases

2. Extract dinput8.dll from the ZIP file into your game installation folder.

3. Start the game once so the reframework folder gets created, then enable “Load loose files” in the REFramework menu.

4. Close the game and extract your mods either into the reframework folder or (for loose file mods) into the natives folder.

5. Start the game again and enjoy your mods.

It's either been taken down by the creator, Nexus staff, or never uploaded cause I've been checking for mods there since release and never saw a nude one.

If it was ever uploaded, I never saw it due to work schedule lol

If it was taken down by the creator, then it maybe they want to fix it up for the full release due to issues they know about (I haven't tried the one int he thread yet so not sure if there are any)

If it was taken down by staff, then IDK why cause these are adult models unless you have some tard there thinking a 20's odd looking character model is under-age. Thea I could understand needing to be hosted elsewhere if someone made such a mod, but the rest of the partner cast has no excuse.

Just to clarify this very clearly: I did not say the nude mod is on Nexus.

What I said was: there are already a few mods on Nexus, and the nude mod mentioned earlier in this thread that I found elsewhere — not on Nexus.

As far as I know, Nexus hasn’t had a nude mod for this game yet. And realistically there wouldn’t be much reason for them to remove one either, since nude mods for the MC and most of the other characters wouldn’t violate their rules.

There’s really only one character where that could potentially become an issue.

I see, the way you had typed that made it sound like it was there at one point.

For now, its a wait situation till we get more mods as it seems there's already progress with some people doing vanilla armor edits

Sorry to say this, but if your game keeps crashing for you then one of several things is probably happening:
1.) you might be using the wrong version
2.) a mod you installed is actually causing the crash (not REFramework itself)
3.) something went wrong during installation
4.) you’re running into the same crashes some other players have been reporting.

The game itself has known crash issues right now. These have already been mentioned multiple times in the Steam forums. Capcom even posted a statement asking players to send crash reports and confirmed they are currently working on fixes, including the issue where demo save files were not imported correctly for some players.

I installed REFramework exactly as described above, together with three Nexus mods and the nude mod from the trial version, and everything works perfectly on my end — no crashes anymore.

Okay, that’s strange. Then there must be something on your end that’s different from my setup.
On my side the game + REFramework has been running for about 10 hours now without any crashes.

probably a set up issue. just got home and its running fine.

Do you use Fluffy MM to enable or do you manual install?

REFramework-based crashes got back it seems.

It seems, REFramework needs another update.
Version 1.0.03 dropped today, and with the current REFramework version the game starts stuttering after a while and eventually crashes.
I did some testing to narrow it down:

  • first with multiple mods
  • then with single mods
  • then without any mods
  • and finally without REFramework entirely

Without mods, the crashes were less frequent (or took longer to happen), but they were still there. The bigger issue right now, though, are the heavy FPS drops and stuttering.

It has already been reportet: MHSTORIES 3 - After latest game update the game has extreme frame drops #1650

OK, there is a working and risk-free workaround:

Thankfully on steam you can rollback the update manually.

press Win + R and type " steam://open/console " (no quotes) and hit enter to open the steam console. Then in console type " download_depot 2852190 2852191 3293633762746700825 " (again no quote) to start downloading the older version. Once it's done downloading, the console will tell you where it was downloaded to.

Copy all those files from the depot folder to the MHST3 folder, overwriting existing files. Then delete the files ' re_chunk_000.pak.patch_001.pak ' and ' re_chunk_000.pak.sub_000.pak.patch_001 '.

Now you are back on version 1.0.01 and reframework works again.

To Anyone Who Reads This And Has Any Doubts...

before trying this i had contast crashes, serious lags no matter how much i lowered settings, crazyy micro stutters, crazy fps fluctuations, instability, occasional loading screen and battle freezes, serious jankiness and frame skips even with my mid tier power gaming rig thats been optimized and cleaned. not to mention not having these issues with any other game.

I can assure you this works, reframework seems to be contantly creating every problem you can think of thanks to stupid anti cheat/tamper denevo and every new update that comes out for the game, not to mention reframework being way too slow to keep up with their updated and more stable versions.

You have 2 choices.

Wait for new truly stress tested and stable up to date Reframework and delete old, replace with new.

Or Roll back to version 1.01...

For MHS3 mod players, a workaround is to degrade the game to initial release. To do this, open steam console, execute the command below: download_depot 2852190 2852191 3293633762746700825 This means downloading the initial release (3293633762746700825) of the main game (2852191) of MHS3 (2852190), and you can find the files in Steam\steamapps\content. This command will download a full copy of the game (~30 GB), but you only need MONSTER_HUNTER_STORIES_3_TWISTED_REFLECTION.exe (~300 MB) because the bothering patch only modified this file (and Tool/InstallerMessage.exe which doesn't matter) and added two .pak files, which are re_chunk_000.pak.patch_001.pak and re_chunk_000.pak.sub_000.pak.patch_001.pak. Luckily this .exe file is downloaded very early so when you see steam has downloaded ~1 GB you can just exit steam client. Then backup your original .exe file, delete the two .pak files, get reframework back and enjoy again.

Seems like you don't need to download 30g of the game, only 1gb and 1 file copied over is neccessary. For me speed and efficiecy.

Credit goes to jgammey, much thanks to him...
