Loco4Coco Posted January 11 Posted January 11 (edited) VIDEO: MEGA VIDEO LINK First of all, sorry for any bad english! hah The tool i used was Papyrus Stack Stalker NG, because i suscpect its a script problem, im no programmer so i dont know for sure. 1- At first I thought it was caused by having textures that were too heavy, so I used VRAMr, it reduced my textures folder from 150 GB down to about 50 GB and packing them into BSAs, but the stutter is still there. My GPU has 24G 2- I tried disabling any mods that use timers or cloaks in their MCM, but performance remains the same. It’s hard to notice in the video, but sometimes I also get stuttering that can last up to ~15 seconds in small interior cells like shops, as long as there are NPCs present. It doesn’t matter if i move the camera or the character. 3- I checked my save with ReSaver when i saved at the moment of the stutter, and it reports at least 40 suspended stacks from the mod Diverse Dragons Collection. I can’t disable it because it would break the entire modlist, as its a master for several patch mods (I’m using a heavily modified version of Lorerim). 4- I ve been trying to fix this for almost three days and I’m close to giving up🥴. I’ve tested other modlists that are more demanding graphically, and they have little to no stutter, idk, maybe its my heavy scripted installed mods tho. 5- If I start a new save, the stuttering is far less severe but still there. traison Posted January 11 Posted January 11 (edited) What's your Papyrus OPs budget set to? If it's something silly like above 50,000 then that could be the reason. If it's vanilla or <= 10,000, then Papyrus is not the issue. You're seeing spikes in Papyrus because Papyrus OPs are directly bound to the frame rate. Could be the same issue as here. I tried disabling the body morphs on Racemenu but the issue still persist, was actually using Dxvk Async ENB Injector but still stutter without it,
Loco4Coco Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 After 6 hours of trying to fix this, I finally did what I should have done from the very beginning: disabling mods 20 at a time and starting a new save, Turns out the mod causing the issue was Mu Dynamic NormalMap and i even gained around 10% perfomance. the mod its probably just for screenarchey, not for normal gameplay. 😫

Don't much care if NPCs have shape-perfect normalmaps. If I'm not mistaken, some of the earlier versions may actually have had better performance, despite the changelog reporting performance increases in more recent versions. But then again, my experience is from running it player-only so perhaps this is not a good test.

Swagmeister. Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Gonna do a little necro, but I too ran into this isssue with that mod. Going constantly from average 90 to full stop 11 fps and having insane fluctuation. Seems like that mod has quite the performance hit sine the 2.xx version even previous ones didn't cause such issues with NPCs enabled. I was looking into tons of other script mods until I remembered I also updated this and enabled NPCs too because I thought it was good enough to support NPCs at this point. Guess back to player only or probably just gonna whitelist certain followers to have it.
