Vendors not reacting or talking when i press E. Help Please! :(

Hi everyone and Happy New year.

 

I have a problem and i am at my wits end. i cant get any vendors to talk to me at all. I can talk to NPcs and the mains story NPC.s but any stores i go into, i press E to talk and it just flashes and i get no dialogue options. I have tried every store in Atlantis. I even started a new game with no mods and i cant talk to any of the vendors. Can anyone help me please! i have no idea why its doing this.

Please can anyone help me, ideally someone that has had this issue. i just want to be able to interact with store vendors but when i try to talk to them nothing happens. i get no dialogue pop ups. Please anyone!

Never had this problem. I see you tried a new game with no mods? Have you checked to see if you hadn't accidentally manually installed something?

 

Try verifying the game files first. If the issue persists - nuke it - delete all the folders in the Data/ folder and go back to steam and do the verify game files again - it will download all the vanilla files again and you will be assured there are no missed mods in there - or just do a full uninstall, delete all folders, then do a 100% fresh game install.

 

When it comes to BGS games, manually installing mods or using a mod manager that installs mods into the steam install - you will eventually break something.

 

I use MO2 which never touches the vanilla game folders at all.
