DD Pet Crawler not crawling

Hi there, running into one issue using devious devices. When I equip, or get trapped in the pet crawler item, my character doesn't drop to all 4's/her elbows and knees. I tried to use the Pet Ring mod to force crawl and that still didn't work as the animation I got was her wearing the device, but still using her feet and hands to crawl instead of elbows and knees. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

Attack them until they should fall back into the crawling state and then they'll get back up once they heal. Had this happen like a week ago and that worked.
