OverseerPrimeXF Posted January 6 Posted January 6 (edited) Hello, i'm trying to make own race (for educations purpposes only) based on nord, with usage of vanilla head mesh and high poly one. So i created head part for head itself and set all nif and tris (basically copied it from nord, and was trying to create from scratch, doesnt matter) and it kinda works in fame but face doesn't look like nord one but rather like that base mesh (if you open it in nifscope). This effect you can see on Ohmes raht race and it fixed by patch, but patch just adds chargen tri file for face head part. Though there's slider in racemenu for race features, and if i set nord to 1 it forms head in what nord should look like (or any other slider for other races makes that face look like if it belongs to race). But it shapes face in right thing only with high poly meshes and tris, deafult mesh only makes face less wide but doesnt affect lips for example, they still curved on default face. And other thing - this face head part avaliable for vanilla nord race as well (because i added nordRace in formlist for avaliable races) and on vanilla nord face looks exactly like it should without any other manupulations with that. I also use expressive chargen morphs and slides from efm work on it. Could somebody tell how it works in skyrim, and how to let custom race use right shapes? does it require modifications in tri files, like chargen one (chatgpt tells it wont work, but still) or there's other ways? Or skyirim too bounded to race and there's no way to set race to use nord morphs? AI tells that some xml files can do the trick, but anything it offered seems not working or has no effect. OverseerPrimeXF Posted January 6 Author Posted January 6 ok, i just noticed that small dropdown in race window in creation kit called "morph race" in copied data, if it set on nordRace game uses morphs of nord for racemenu.
