Does it exist? Specifically, I'm looking for a BHUNP version.

No, but you can convert the base mod and one of the BHUNP conversions found on Nexusmods using CAO.  There is no real difference between BHUNP v4 for SE and LE other than how SMP performs/behaves.

Don't expect HDT-SMP to work in LE for most items, however, particularly dresses.  It was configured for Faster SMP which is only for SE.  Some items have usable SMP physics like the hats, but the longer items stretch into the ground or explode in all directions.  You can always disable the physics on items where it doesn't work by deleting the xml reference from the nif but you miss out on a big feature of the mod.

I tried converting it, as you said, and the dress portions exploded, just like you said. So annoying...

What us Legendary Edition players need is some kind of SMP conversion tool, or something. Maybe A.I. powered? I don't know. But, yeah, the physics is really what makes those mods. I've gotten lucky with a few older SE dress mods before, in the past, but the newer "fast SMP" mods are not kind to LE conversion at all. I could switch to Special Edition, but I just don't want to go through the trouble of having to find and reinstall all of my mods again, which I have quite a few.

To be honest, I kind of hate the fact that Bethesda made that version of the game to begin with. It's not something that should have ever existed, in my opinion. I mean, I could understand if it had been something on the level of the Oblivion Remaster, but it wasn't, it was just 2011 (or whatever) Skyrim slapped onto a newer engine. Same crappy default graphics, the same bugs (and a number of new ones), all the DLCs, and that's it, but I digress...

I was afraid that it had not been properly converted.

The way I see it there are two options.  The first is more laborious and requires compiling Faster SMP to 32-bit SKSE.  Since nobody has done it yet, I don't know if that is possible or if the result would be worth it.  The second option is one I've resisted for a long time but recently been exploring.  Choose a wabbajack modlist that gives you a good foundation from which to mod a SE/AE game.  Something like NGVO (if you want good graphics that maintains the original feel of Skyrim) or something else that implements gameplay/mechanics changes that you want.  Then you're free to use the best that modern mods has to offer.

I abhor modlist users in general because most of them are ignorant and don't know what they're doing.  But if you use a modlist as a means to build a foundation from which to create a SE/AE game to take advantage of modern quality of life mods, that's a different story...as long as you don't go trolling the forums looking for support.
