Breast Physics (not working) on specific clothing mods

Recommended Posts

I have BHUNP body installed.  Nude and clothed physics working 99%

But, there are 3 specific outfits that I have  built in bodyslide that won't show physics in the breast area; everything else has movement

I have built the outfits in batch mode and chosen several different options without luck.

Anyone know how to resolve this issue? I've searched all over the internet;

I've copied over the Caliente file from Overwrite - nada

I've reinstalled the latest version of XPMSE - nada

I've read thru the description on the BHUNP Next Gen (nexus) page and the instructions appear to be mainly concerned w/ 3BBB (and I don't see an MCM menu when in game)??

Any solutions?

PS should Bodyslide & Outfit Studio mod (Racemenumorphsuunp.esp) be above over below the body model (bhunp)?

Not installed correctly

Irrelevant. SMP physics only works if the XML files are compiled correctly and, when applied to meshes. If you have built clothes but the SMP XML is not applied or has compilation errors, it will not work correctly.

What kind of clothing are we talking about? Full heavy armor? If this is the case, obviously the breast cannot move due to the metal plates that make up the armor.

How is the XML compiled?

What are the outfits?  Are we meant to guess?  They likely don't have breast node weights painted on the mesh used to generate bodyslide output.  If you want to receive further help you'll need to provide more information, such as which outfits you're referring to.

No idea what you're talking about.  Are you referring to load order in MO2?  Again, we're not psychic.  If you don't provide information in your question you won't get useful answers.

Thank you for the responses and constructive advice;

Regarding to my PS; yes I was referring to load order.

I'm not familiar with how to determine if the XML was compiled.  How would I answer that question and I'll check that?

The outfits are:

Aradia Leather Thief with the BHUNP 3BBB body slide files/meshes

CH Maid LE BHUUNP (body slides included)

Spindrift Knight LE (body slides included)

Regarding the missing MCM menu, I will try to reinstall BHUNP mod again and see what I may have missed

None of the mods you listed have a metal chest so it seems likely they all were intended to have the desired physics.  Since they are all old and all meant for a specific version of BHUNP (~2020 given their presence on BakaFactory's blog) I believe it comes down to your installation of BHUNP.  Try reinstalling BHUNP or perhaps using an older version of BHUNP (v3.x), being sure to choose HDT-SMP for the entire body.  Either way, HDT-SMP support for LE has largely been abandoned.  In fact the majority of SE players are ignorant to the fact that HDT-SMP was introduced for Skyrim before SE was ever released.

Keep in mind that 3BBB is not specific to HDT-SMP.  3BBB can work just fine with HDT-PE as long as the mesh includes a NiStringsExtraData block that references a 3bbb xml configuration file .  If you are not using HDT-SMP for the entire body and/or it is not configured properly then this will be the result.

Open nif with Nifskope, extend 0NiNode and look if the string is present HDT Skinned Mesh Physics Object . Of course, you will only find the string if it is an SMP.

The path indicated will tell you where the XML file is located. If present, post it here under spoiler.

If it is not an SMP, your problem is only with the installation of BHUNP.

One thing you could try is loading your reference body in, selecting the breast weights, and copying them over to the outfit. It could be that it has an outdated or missing set of bones in that area. Just be careful not to copy over all the bones or some SMP physics might lose their bones and stop working. Use "copy selected bone weights"

The steps would be as follows:

  • Open outfit studio
  • Load project (select the outfit you want to load)
  • Load reference (select the body you are using). The reference will appear as having green text on the right (first image). Make sure it is in the same position as the previous green text body was. So check that before loading.
  • Click on the green text and look at the bones. Select all the breast one. (In my case CBBE HDT body has LBreast and Rbreast. Yours will probably be different. Clicking on the reference body will show you what bones belong to the reference body.) (image 2)
  • Select the outfit piece (image 3)
  • Assuming you did not de-select the bones, click "copy selected bone weights" and then hit okay on the prompt. (Image 4)
  • Hit save project.
  • Rebuild in bodyslide.
  • Test to see if it works.

Note: Sometimes more bones need to be copied. But it's always best to do it slowly.

But worse case scenario, you just reinstall the armor mod to undo any changes.

I'm far from a pro at this though, so if someone else has better ideas listen to them.
