Animating custom meshes with XPMS bones

Hio!

 

I've been trying to animate these wings (the dragonfly ones).

So far i've weighted them to 4 of the wing bones in the XPMS (latest version from here).

I've then animated them in 3dsmax 2011 and the animation shows up fine in 3dsmax (with the weights and all). Havoc content tools exports without a hitch.

 

So far i've done some little practice animations with the base body and they all worked (normal vanilla skeleton movement, breasts).

But now i have the weighted wings equipped and have the animation as the standard idle - and it's not animating.

 

Is my weighting wrong/too shabby (although it works in 3dsmax)?

Or is there anything different when animating more than the "usual" bones?
