Are gender specific leveled lists possible?

Is there a way to add female only or male only items to leveled lists?

 

If I wanted to add a female only armour to appear randomly on only females is that possible?  I'm aware I could link the male version to a vanilla .nif but that's not an ideal solution.

I was looking in to it a while back. I believe you need to script it. Base Skyrim doesn't seem capable of doing it.

I assumed as much.  I think it may be easier just to download some male only and some female only armours and have them as the same item in game.
