Sandatharius Posted November 23, 2025 Posted November 23, 2025 Ok.....brand new to using NifScope. So, I tried to follow the procedure to add gloss to my character, through Google AI. I edited the Gloss on the femalebody_0 and femalebody_1 And.... everything worked out well, including the armor.....except that when my female character is nude, her body exhibits the glossiness I want, as does the armor that I also changed. But when they're TOGETHER (when she's wearing the armor) her body loses the gloss. Anyone have a good link to this procedure as a tutorial? I did have a mod, which worked well at the start, but the same thing occurred. Her body lost the gloss. So I researched how to use NifScope to do the same thing. Would appreciate anything.
Demonwolf218 Posted November 23, 2025 Posted November 23, 2025 Each armor mesh has it's own base body mesh. If you wanted it to still be glossy when ever you change outfits, then you have to edit each outfit individually. You can use a mod that changes your glossiness in-game like Wet Function Redux. 1

Thanks for the reply! Sorry, if I wasn't totally clear. I edited the glossiness in the armour I'm using right now. And, if it worked (which it did), I intended to change the several modded armors I have already installed, using NifScope. But my issue is that, while BOTH Armour and Body have gloss, when I WEAR that edited armor, it stays glossy....... but the gloss that was on my female's body is now gone. I remove her armor and >poof< gloss is back. But, as I said, SEPARATELY they both have the gloss. I do know that I would have to repeat the procedure with all armors I've added to the game. I have used WFR in the past, and it was okay.....but I just want the skin gloss to be permanent. Edited November 24, 2025 by Sandatharius
Sandatharius Posted November 24, 2025 Author Posted November 24, 2025 (edited) Ok. still can't understand why it removes the gloss from my character's body when wearing armor. But I uninstalled the Shiny Skin mod. And then reinstalled it again. Seems to be working now. <shrug> Edited November 24, 2025 by Sandatharius
