Long load times

I am playing the GOG version is the version before the next gen patch released on Steam.  I just installed the game yesterday loaded it up and everything was fine.  I installed 13 mods with MO2 and when I try to start a new game there is an infinite loading screen.  I have always had problems running a modded Fallout 4.  Skyrim and Starfield are much easier to get going.  In Skyrim I have over 1000 mods installed and it runs fine except for an occasional crash once in awhile.  Starfield same thing.  But FO4?  Always gives me a problem and it is not unique to the GOG version.  I own the Steam version as well and the last time I played it it was before the NG patch and still the same problem; and it don't matter whether I use MO2 or Vortex still same problem.  Can someone help me get a modded FO4 up and running?

Since it is only 13 mods and you got the infinite loading screen it is a weird situation. But also depending on the mod's size and if its packed in ba2s or loose. Also it depends if the game running on SSD or not.
For a starter you should install High Fps Physics Fix from the nexus and carefully read through it, it is the recommended approach for long loading times and other stuff that really can benefit your setup.
There is another cheap and unrecommended fix, Load Accelerator , it gets the job done, but almost everyone will advise you to use the High fps physics fix instead.

Thanks for the reply but the mod did not help, and yes I have the game installed on an SSD.  Which brings up another point whether on SSD or HDD same problems running a modded FO4.  Fallout 4 is the only Bethesda game I own that has always given me problems getting it to run when modded.   Even Daggerfall runs fine with mods on the Unity engine.

Does it do the infinite loading screen without the mods enabled?

Yes the game ran without mods.  It took like a minute or two to load but it worked.

What are the mods you had installed ?, it might be something wrong with one of them.

Here's a screenshot it's actually 21 mods and I was planning to install more like AAF, Sim Settlements 2, and America Rising 2.  But I first wanted to test with a few mods installed.

The one for the version of the game available at GOG.com.  The version before the next gen update.  All of the mods I use are circa 2023 or a bit older.

Okay I did the old disable all mods then re-enable a mod one at a time to pinpoint which mod is the culprit and I found it it is AAF.  When I run the game without AAF it loads up fine.  But with it enabled infinite loading screen.  Now I have to find out what I did wrong.

Figured it out.  I wasn't running the game using F4SE through MO2.  Now everything is fine.  Thank you Kaptosh for pointing me in the right direction.

I wanted to point that out to be honest, but since you said you already played other games with 1000 mods installed i said to myself that you wouldnt forget such an important step xD, glad you figured it out.
