Bluegunk Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 (edited) Would some kind soul please tell me in words of less than half a syllable how I can take a batch of WAV files in a mod follower and generate Lip sync files for them swiftly and easily? Here's the detail: I upgraded an older mod's robotic xVASynth voiced lines using an ElevenLabs voice, and it sounds great. File names and the wording remain unchanged. I'd also like to change the mod's current voice from the xVASynth's femaleeventoned to a custom voice, reflecting the change I made. My CK knowledge is very rusty. I really do not want to plod through the CK voice line by voice line generating a Lip file. I tried the CK shortcut extension method but it crashed on me every time. I tried xVASynth with the lip-fuz extension but it expects a CSV file. I'm feeling tired, old and grey and could do with a magic wand approach to the job! Grateful for any ideas! The "Export dialogues" xEdit script looks like it can export to csv. With any luck this is the same column order that xVASynth reads. Editing CSV, should it be needed, is easy in Excel/Calc. I do however doubt that there's going to be a quick solution for generating lip files if you want it to match up properly. You will most likely need a program (like xVASynth) to adjust the pronounciation of each letter a bit.
Bluegunk Posted November 12, 2025 Author Posted November 12, 2025 (edited) The voice files are done to a decent quality. I don't need to do anything further to them. I cannot get any process to produce working lipsync in game. The voice works fine. The voice files are currently Wav files. I've tried these methods: 1. Starting Creation Kit with a command line to generate LIP files (and face animation rebuilds) for the mod. This produces a set of lip files. But I have no lipsync at all in the game. If I could understand why, I could fix that. 2. Exporting CSV from xEdit. xVASynth hangs and does not process the batch file. I tried two different xEdit scripts. 3. Running lipgenerater.exe with path to files. Is there no, sane, easy way to do this? Edited November 12, 2025 by Bluegunk
Bluegunk Posted November 12, 2025 Author Posted November 12, 2025 It would seem not. Anyhow I have it working now, by doing the work the long way around. Thanks, Traison!
