So it just started, the problem is: i launch SKSE and the cmd prompt shows up and disappears instantly, then my cursor changes to the loading icon for about 3 seconds and nothing. i know its an skse problem because tesedit loaded the game fine and it loads fine normaly (without skse) i removed all skse files and reinstalled the latest version, also steam, tesV and sks_loader have all been set to run as admin.

this problem is new and just started today, its been about a month since i played skyrim.

Have you install any new mods lately?

I has similar problem with latest newer OneTweak when I upgrade and the problem gone after revert.

My suggestion is tried to remove all SKSE plugins and reactive them back one by one.

Somethings to try,

1) Make sure your load order is correct and working, no mods are conflicting against each other at the start. This will help you lots if you don't already use this: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/6/?

That will put things in a good enough order if that is the cause

2) Skse needs to be run with Administrator Privileges, i.e. always a safe bet to right click the exe and click Run as administrator. Under windows 7 to 8.1, I cannot remember XP's method but it will be somewhere within the context menu properties of the exe under compatibility I'm guessing.

3) Don't think this will help but always worth having. Adding a ini file to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data\SKSE <-- make this last folder

open up notepad or text editor of choice and type or copy this text:

[Loader]
RuntimeName=TESV.exe

Save the textfile as skse.ini and place it into that SKSE folder above or wherever you have Skyrim installed to if the path I've provided is not where you installed Skyrim to.

Part three is not going to make any difference I do not think but I like to have it. I used it for changing TESV.exe to something else and so Skse would recognized that I'd renamed Skyrim to something else.

Other than that it would be someone else's expertise

4) Your SKSE is the right version for the version of Skyrim your running.

yeah ive set every exe as admin, even steam, your ini file made the exe stay open longer inthe processes, removed all active esp files and it still did the same thing. so it runs fine with mods and without (through the standard launcher) and ive installed no new mods. also added a path exception for where skyrim is installed in microsoft security essentials.

the only thing that happened before i last player was i installed kaspersky, then removed it and reinstalled  security essentials.

The problem was infact the new plugin that was just released that changes the games chunkload size to 512mb, i had it in the plugins folder and even renamed its extension to .dll1 but the game was loading it without me knowing somehow. deleting it made the game boot up.

thanks for all your help guys
