incest Forbidden Fruit [Abandoned]

This mod has some really great potential for deepening the game. Some things I'd like to see added:

 

1. Half-Sibling relationship bits.

 

2. More actual usefulness and flavor for the extended family bits (Aunt, Cousin, Step, Grandparent, etc.)

 

3. An "unknown" or "hidden" factor for family relationship bits, meaning that there's a family bit (sister, father, cousin, aunt, etc.) present but neither partner is aware of it.

    a. For the "hidden" family bit, I would also write it in such a way that it would have the same function as The IU Trait but it would be... well, hidden.

    b. You could add a plethora of interactions, reactions, and other drama for when the the hidden bit changes to a known bit ("I just learned my fiance is actually my ____!").

 

4. I would really like the IU Trait completely replaced with a Relationship Bit. This would make it more dynamic and useful. The "all or nothing" way the IU Trait functions is constraining. I mean, just because you're willing to sleep with your _____, that doesn't mean you're DTF for your whole family.

Hi thanks for the comment, good ideas and I'm working on this, but it's pretty slow because of uni, but after December I'll start devoting more time to my mod. Here's my rough plan for developing at the moment. I am currently working on reactions.

Do you plan to add a way to unlock the incestuous trait for family Sims without having to grant it manually?

For example, flirting slowly, then progressing to slightly more suggestive touching, and finally convincing the familiar Sim you're seducing to have sex.

I hope get you, so yes, that's the point of the "incest skill". Later, I want to waive the WickedWhims Inappropriate Unlock requirement or made it auto

Hi, love your mod. Just want to suggest few ways to give sims trait without adding it manually.
Maybe check if the player's Wicked Whims setting in Family Relationship Switch and Adult Teen Relationships Switch in Relationship Utilities is check, if yes then allow all incest interaction available. This way we can skip the entire add traits thing.

or do it similar to the Become casual sex partner interaction from original wicked whims that instead of giving the trait, it adds relationship bit instead.

Another suggestion is to let sims do research on that "topic" on the computer like the vampire lore skill and then you get an incest moodlet show that your sims interest in this family special bonding activity and the higher the skill level the more this incest interaction available.

If you have lovestruck, maybe if your family member is very attractive, allow this incest action

or just do a voodoo or brainwash and give the target sims the trait.

Thanks for the response. Based on your "To Do" list, the mod seems to be an expansion of the "foreknowledge incest" or "incest as a lifestyle" dynamic that is hinted at by the Inappropriate Unlock (which is long overdue for the kind of complete overhaul you're doing here, by the way). I am definitely going to give this a look-see once you get it all polished up. I'm already thinking of some cool story ideas this mod will make possible.

 

What I am wondering though, as a side project, you might look into something, or at least tell me if I am asking for the Moon. My instincts tell me this would be fairly simple for someone who already possesses mod-making knowledge that I am sorely lacking, but I don't know this to be true.

 

My sticking point with the Inappropriate Unlock Incest Trait is this; I want to control individual relationships where the sims may be related, but will behave as though they are not related. The IU Trait is treated as your sim being "open to sexual relations with family members". All and every warm body at the family reunion becomes fair game. I have sims that the IU Trait works fine for. But I would prefer to be able to more finely control it, to be able to say; these two sims don't know they're related, or this sim is into one specific relative, or whatever other story reason I might want a particular sim to romance one relative, but not necessarily all of their relatives. 

 

Based upon what little I know, I suspect creating one or more Relationship Bits (rather than using traits) is the way to go about accomplishing this, I just don't have the technical know-how to take it on, or I would try doing it myself. Like I said, it seems like it would be fairly simple. 

 

For example; you have two sims, brother and sister. They'll both have this Relationship Bit; "family_target_isbrothersisterof_actor". There are Bits like that for aunt/uncle, niece/nephew, cousin, and so on. Would it be possible to create a new hidden Relationship Bit that has the effect of making your sim behave as though that "family_target_is______of_actor" bit wasn't there, but without actually removing it? Thus allowing interactions that otherwise would be unavailable to family members, but without having to apply the Incest trait to either sim.

 

Like the Incest trait, both sims would have to have this theoretical new Relationship Bit for any romance interactions to be available, but it wouldn't have the effect of making them incestuous with any other relatives. This would allow me to control who is doing what and with whom at a much more granular level, and make up my own stories about who knows what, when, and why, and who is from West Virginia and who isn't.

 

Literally, just that. No interactions, reactions, buffs, frills, ribbons, or bows. Nothing but a Relationship Bit (or bits) that does what is described above. So my question is twofold; 1. Could this work the way I am suggesting, and 2. How difficult would it be to do?

I Hope you'll get to the cousins part, soon because I have a cousin's relationship in my game, and I would like to have interesting interactions between them, about it, and also from other sims about cousins relationship, in front of society.

Also what are you ideas about inbreed children out of incest?

Here's a suggestion:

Two siblings with the Surrogate Daughter trait unlock special interactions between them. For example, if both sims have a bad relationship, a jealous moodlet can appear when the other gets a positive reaction from the father. However, if both Sims have a good relationship, they can either whisper about their shared attraction or promise to share.

 

This can also apply to Sims with the Charming Father and Covetous Mother traits. Sims with a great relationship can gush about how beautiful their daughter is, while Sims with a bad relationship can argue about who has a stronger claim over her.

Hey, just wanted to say thanks for making this mod, it looks great. I typically only play Father/son relationships (or any M/M for that fact) so excited for that update! 

 

Out of curiosity, am I able to use this mod if the Father/son module isn't released yet? Not sure if it would add any gameplay for me just yet or if that module would be needed first if those are the only typical relationships I play.

I googled by name of the mod author, it doesn't show up, unless the author is using different names.

Also, I'm not sure if Patreon will allows those stuffs (About the what is the mod .), cause officially by the law of international countries, it is banned in most of the countries in the world (not sure how they treat those stuffs in virtual stuffs)

Hello everyone, I'm still here and alive. Sorry for the long absence of news and updates. I'm currently studying at university and have had a very busy schedule, so I haven't had time to work on the mod (I haven't even played Sims in all this time!) I'll try to get back to development this week, but the next update won't be very big. I'll make the long-promised son/father module and think about the future development of the mod (most likely I'll scale back my ambitions and only do what I can do well)....Good luck to everyone this year!

 

UPD: This is also one of the reasons why I am reducing my ambitions. This is the end of the Sims 4 era , the next dlc will be the last, and then there will be a new part of the game and I will make the same mod for Sims 5.

I've also started working on a new mod. I don't want to reveal its theme yet, but it will also be interesting and related to WW . I could say a lot about my mod (FF and planned) and my vision for it and its future, but my main idea is for them to be similar to the WW mod style and not stray too far from the vanilla Sims 4 style.

I'm confused. I thought they said they weren't doing a Sims 5 and just focusing on more packs for Sims 4 and Project Rene. Did I misunderstand? (Apparently Project Rene is not Sims 5) Tried researching it just now and only finding rumours that Royalty is the last expansion pack. It will be a shame to not see this mod continued. I'm not intending to be buying into the Project Rene so will miss out (if that's what you are referring to by "Sims 5")
