A turan hive consists of a single Alpha Turan and a number of parasitized Human women making its harem, birthing enough to maintain dozens of worker drones at all times.  Spoiler Turan seed contains an untraceable parasite which once in contact with a female pawn's womb, allows turan seed to successfully fertilize the ovum. The parasite also secretes a selective spermicide, preventing the female from having progeny with any other species including her own. The parasite can last up to one year from a single intercourse. Any repeated and following intercourse(s) adds onto that lifespan by another year; Females abducted by a Turan colony for extended periods may never naturally outlive the parasite without extensive, exotic surgery. It is deemed that a pawn with records of over 50[Pseudo-arbitrary Threshold?] Alpha intercourse cannot naturally shrug it as the parasite becomes capable of parthenogenesis. It is deemed by a few accounts that pawns surviving over 200[More Citations Needed] such interactions gain the ability to transfer that parasite to their human young. Causes behind such are unclear as no trace of DNA manipulation is found, with DNA clones not porting over such parasites.    10
serveas Posted October 11, 2025 Posted October 11, 2025 Hey, I like the sound of this. Maybe you should let the player have the option to tame the alpha turans so they can take advantage of the drones? For selling, butchering, etc. Â Also implementing Ideology would be nice with some rituals surrounding them. Maybe a quest where you save someone from a hive too for a reward. 1

I've wrestled with trying to mod myself but not with much success. If you could use an extra hand somewhere feel free to ask.
Limtic Posted October 19, 2025 Posted October 19, 2025 (edited) What about a joiner colonist that is infected with a insect brain parasite in combination with others, the joiner is similar to a metal horror, it burst out and if you are not ready it attacks female colonists injecting them with the womb parasite and attracting a hive spawn and try to abduct the colonist. >.< Edited October 19, 2025 by Limtic 1
