Does the baby/egg item do anything?

Nothing has been added yet, but the gith eggs should function the same as the base game ones for quests and hatch offscreen if you make certain choices. (If this doesn't work let me know so I can stop telling people it does)

hi ,

i just wanted to ask does anyone notice that if the character gets hit while creampied/pregnant in his/her turn the buff just dissappears ? the pregnancy just dissappears ? i noticed when an enemy  assaults one of the characters on my party.

Does this mean anything serious?

We temporarily removed the custom disguise self genital handling because the BG3SX framework changed how it handles it (it's still kinda broken, but now it's broken in a different way so our original fix doesn't work). This meant removing the option for pregnancy to have a permanent effect on the character's genitals. More specifically, I removed the toggle from MCM and defaulted everything to off, but I left the checks in to remind me to update it later - the checks are what's throwing the warning but they shouldn't have any effect on gameplay afaik, let us know if they do cause any issues and I'll take them out.

Perhaps it would allow the character to give birth to a tadpole? Normal pregnancy processes have been altered by the parasite. The tadpole would also be quite valuable to the player.

hello my dragonborn is not able to bring the pregnancy effect on npcs even after using bypass compatibility cheat in the mod is there something im missing?

I seem to be having the same problem (with my Dragonborn character atleast).

It worked first time against another Dragonborn, however it doesn't seem to work with anything that isnt ticked on the compatibility chart (yes "Bypass Compatibility Chart" was ticked). So when "Bypass Compatibility Chart" is not enabled, there is NO CON roll, when "Bypass Compatibility Chart" is enabled there is a CON roll (and nothing happens on a fail apart from it saying failed).

Does anyone know what could be causing this? Or is it just the "Bypass Compatibility Chart" that isnt working?

Huh, the CON roll happening implies things should be working, the target should be receiving the pregnant status on failing the roll... Can you try replicating the issue with the script extender console enabled and tell me what it says please?

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I just tried what you suggested and this is what came up on the Script extender console (see attached image)image.png.ad07256271dd8d67bdc798fc321a433d.png

Well just got the first baby. Too bad it does nothing and is just a static object but still neat.

Hoping to see this mod get developed further but probably no need to give the baby a full growing up mechanic.

does the morphs work atm?

Unfortunately not, we do have them made and they look alright in-game, but we can't seem to export them properly with the tools currently available to us.

Unsure if it could help, but contacting the dev for the Divine Curse Framework/Loviatar's Claws mods may not be a bad idea. They seem to have implemented a model adjustment tied to a condition similarly to this mod, and may be able to help out with the logistics of getting it exported.

I second this idea of a tadpole on birth even if it is in addition to the baby item. I think giving a valuable benefit after having survived the combats with the negative debuffs would be great. Could also implement a chance for twins or triplets where the pregnancy debuffs last a little longer or are slightly more debilitating but you get more tadpoles upon birth. Just a few thoughts. Regardless, I think this is an awesome mod and appreciate all the hard work on it!

Can I suggest giving players the option to make the chances of getting pregnant more easier/difficult?    It's considerably more difficult to get knocked up late in the game because character bonuses to saves are significantly higher than at the start of the game.

I mean at the moment the difficulty scales with the participants: the inseminator makes a con check to determine the DC for the target to con save against. This should mean that enemies and NPCs' bonuses keep up with the player as they progress and keep things balanced, but it's very easy to out-scale them, especially on easier difficulties. Tbh this seems more like a vanilla balancing issue (constitution isn't really used as much as other stats, so NPCs don't really have huge bonuses for it) so I'd recommend either upping the game's difficulty or installing a mod that increases enemy stats for now, and I'll add to the TODO list a config option to set a flat pregnancy chance or DC that stays consistent through the whole game.

Oops I forgot to hit send on our response to this: Thanks for the recommendation, but this was one of the first mods we looked at for ideas and iirc it consists of multiple different models for its' custom equipment that get swapped out depending on the mod's progression, a very clever idea but unfortunately it's limited to just those outfits (it might have changed since we looked tho, so we can check again), whereas we want the change to be universal on all clothing and body types - something we have working, but can't export because the official modding tool seems to corrupt the blueprints when they export/duplicate by not tracking all of the data.

Just a question on the MCM settings

1. Pregnancy rolls. If this is disabled, is it automatic?

2. Pregnancy Progression. If this is disabled do pregnancies not progress at all? Wasn't sure if it meant it progressed at a faster, gamified rate, or if it didn't progress at all.

So is this trying to use lslib/bg3se's new'ish GR2 morph target support?

Is there any documentation at all for the morph target support or is it discord in-crowd only for the moment?

Tbh I had no idea about the morph target support until you first mentioned it, I tried looking for any documentation on it and couldn't find any, there might be some now but from trying to understand how it works by looking at the raw code, I don't think it will be too helpful for what we want as it seems to scale the full model rather than individual bones. Even if it could work tho we can't attempt it until BG3SX is compatible with the most recent version of the script extender, maybe we'll take another look once BG3SX updates.

Just wondering if this mod is still being developed (along with St8cy's other mod).  It's been about 9 months, so was hoping this is close.  I've seen St8cy's posts, about new features, & different difficulties, but nothing on an estimate, on when we might see it.  I also remember something, in this thread, about moving on to a different game.  So just wondering...

Almost finished one of the other things we were working on as a break from BG3, hopefully it will coincide with the script extender BG3SX compatibility issue being fixed so we can just jump straight back into BG3 modding. There are still quite a few things we want to add to both mods so don't expect any updates to be immediate, but we will start working on them again soon.
