Thormix Posted September 24, 2025 Posted September 24, 2025 When did nexusmods start requiring two factor authorization? This sucks....
belegost Posted September 24, 2025 Posted September 24, 2025 It never did. Unless you enabled it yourself.
KIKOU16 Posted October 7, 2025 Posted October 7, 2025 ?? I never did. And it's happening to me also. 1
KIKOU16 Posted October 8, 2025 Posted October 8, 2025 Hmmm. Not so clear. These last 2 days, the 2-factors authentification screen automatically appeared in Firefox when I got the Nexus from MO2, after selecting a mod and choosing "manual download". But, no longer now - what did I for it ? Nothing I know (Except a ferocious post on the Nexus in a British topic about age control) ... Otherwise, now directly opening Nexus through Opera, I can avoid it and download whatever I want. Something I don't understand, maybe I did something wrong ?

Raven 54 Posted October 8, 2025 Posted October 8, 2025 (edited) I just got this, verify you are Human, on signing in here this morning, and Nexus has been doing this for quite some time. Spoiler Edited October 8, 2025 by Caveman 74
KIKOU16 Posted October 8, 2025 Posted October 8, 2025 The "verify you're Human" request happens to be very frequent. It's solved by a simple Snapchat. But the double-identification request is something else. 4 hours ago, Dorabella said: You'll need to perform the authentication request periodically (once or twice a month). Looks logic enough. Well, however, as I remember I never complied to this even once, as you would need to use your google registration code or whatever similar, and I didn't. So how does it happen that I can escape from it now ? Just a minute before I went on the nexus (through MO2 which uses my Firefox link) and no problem.

As far as I know, it could be the ModManager or Firefox itself, the cause of the problem. But, instead of accessing Nexus with a ModManager, access via the Browser, to see if the problem persists
