Crashes with Unhandled exception "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION"

Hi all,

I have trouble bringing devious modded skyrim to work.

The game itself is starting but as soon as a sex animation is loaded, the game crashes. Furthermore it always crashes when I try try to enter the captured dreams shop.

The cause is probably the same. Would someone please take a look at my crash dump?

Some advice what might be the root cause would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advace!

EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION is a very generic error and tells people next to nothing.

However, you do have good information:

This narrows things down from a nearly infinite number of possibilities to a much more manageable (though still potentially headache inducing) number.

Try uninstalling Captured Dreams (or whatever mod contains the shop) and see if that fixes the animations from crashing, or save outside the shop and disable animations until the crashes stop. You may also have to do a combination of both.

The results of that will give you more information to figure out the issue.

Alternatively, a Papyrus Log is more likely to give us detailed game and mod state information than the crash dump, and could lead to the culprit more directly. Crash Logs are more in the realm of Engine state rather than game state. It tells you more about how the game overall interacted with the computer. Not necessarily "bad" information, just not typically useful for mod users to troubleshoot with in my experience.
