    • opposite of player at quest start (if technically possible, may water down interactions)

So i initially wanted to create a bit more of an involved a male to female genderswap mod- that is why i created a mod calls 'SwapTimerFramework'.

But now that i think i laid the foundations (and experimented a bit with it) i am kinda unsure on how to progress.

That's why it's poll-time.

First things first- i did put the mod into the adult-category because i wanted to keep the freedom to mess around with its contents on a whim, but the more i did tinker with the core and the modules/patches, the more i realize it's probably even fit for upload on nexusmods (idk if people there harass others work there though when it is about more experimental stuff).

So Nexus upload yay or nay?

Second thing- the next steps.

Initially i thought about stealing madai777s and emily1673s homework and also implementing himbo and cbbe morphs to imply that your character is changing, but i realized that

A) its probably a lot of effort to implement it in a good/satisfying/stable way

B) players that use presets probably have already planned out how their character should look. And to create options to cater to each individual taste seems like a full-time-job.

so i am putting that idea on a bit of a back-burner

What i was thinking about was to create another 'patch' containing a quest with an integrated follower character as the quest-giver.

I think it would be neat if they have short dialogues with the player at set intervals that are in a way multiple choice test that determines the reward/resolution the player gets at the end.

The question i am asking is- what would be your preference for them to be?

Check out Bimbos of Skyrim's morphs. It has a page where you set the morphs you want a tthe end of the curse and then slowly adjusts the charatcer over stages. A simple json file is needed for what morphs to be on the mcm, so can cater for various body types.

@jib_buttkiss am I right, or have I just made up the above...? :D

I think that some of the mods need more config options.
1. The Maid swap could allow users to make a Json with the armor that they want to swap to then the options would be limitless.
2. The Skill Swap could be expanded to turn into a "class swap" curse. Imagine going from being a tank or dps to having your stats swapped into ranger/healer. You could also allow users more tweaking if they want the "problem solved" at lvl 40. It would be a config that chooses which skills should be lowered and raised and by "how much"
3. The fertility mode lock is a good idea but I'm a degenerate that likes the Beeing Female creature addon or SGO integration fork

You're onto something here and I would probably test this out if it wasn't that my game is already massive at this point.

Yeah, you are definitely not wrong there.

Creating a mcm just really isn't all that fun to do (i really have to find out if there is some tool where you can generate custom mcm-code automated and reliably (gpt? Idk))

I kinda did just threw the patches out there to check if there is any interest in general.

I think i could look into creating optional dependancies for the fertility stuff if the other mods handle it in a global variable/magic effect way (i'm too clueless otherwise), but idk when i will get to it.

So, i think i got the overarching concept for this quest that i would like to inplement now. The poll is kinda indecisive rn.

I will introduce a male as well a female character without doing swaps on them.

I think it will be also contain some sort of training arc for the player plus the involved npcs and fullfilling a bucket-list of someone who passed away.

Idk, maybe even optional romance with the NPCs.

Maybe I should've mentioned i wanted to create a quest from a male to female swap perspective on the players end, idk how much request there is for a female to male storyline (i think there isn't a lot of ftm fiction out there so i kinda feel bad for skipping over it, but at the same time- limited time and priorities on my end^^')

I think most of the internet will be busy for the next few weeks when silksong is released anyways, so i will leave this poll open until i actually start working on stuff

(which, as mentioned, if it happens it'll be at an undefined future time).

Okay, so i think i got now how to morph cbbe/himbo stuff, it actually just needs the racemenu mod and then the names of the morphs (which aren't always the same as in bodyslide which is kinda annoying, i really could use a list of all variable names for 3ba/himbo).

Idk if i really got the capacity to expand that much onto the idea of gradual stages, but i think i may be able to do a patch for pre-swap morphing for a standard-esque bodytype.

Okay, so after about 6 months i think i finally got an idea what the framing story of this mod will be. Spoilers below:

Spoiler

The player is given a homunculus (artificial human) that is located inside some sort of pocket-plane.

After some questing/alchemy this homonculus gives the player the ability to swap bodies with them when asked.

(the homunculus has the swap-preset aplied to them and gets the player one loaded onto them if they swap).

The main advantage of using this ability will be that all bounties are cleared.

(I will also say that some reality bending shenanigans happen since i don't want to write an excessive amount of reaction dialogue to the player changing their appearance).

Once the quest progresses (or the player does some questionable decisions) the magic of the spell destabilizes and the 'normal' time based swaps that are currently implemented happen.

The goal will be to restore the 'stable' form of the swaps again and maybe some other shenanigans that i really don't want to spoil.

With my current knowledge of ck i think it's a feasible scope.

Still, may take some time until i get to it and i am not sure if some CharGen weirdness throws a wrench into my plans.

I really need to seriously read up how character-textures, tintmasks and presets work/are linked in this engine, but most of the information i find are kinda fragments on how things work (and somehow i really don't want to take the plunge and watch 10+ hours of videos on skyrim ck only to find out none of them answer the questions i went in with).
