While nudity, when actually thought over, isn't inherently sexual, most of the world still considers it as such. Like, people get turned on just by seeing straight-up nudity, even if no legitimately sexual acts are involved. Can't blame them, nudity is quite appealing.

 

The mentality is "if it turns me on, it must be sexual". It sucks, but that's how the most of the world just is. If we lived in a world where being naked didn't have to be so widely-considered as sexual, then that would be pretty spectacular, but until people refrain from jacking themselves off to plain-old nudity, we are worlds away from that.

And that's precisely why exhibitionism is a kink for me.

Because although I view nudity as a natural form of the human body, society's stigmatised view on it makes exposing oneself really thrilling.

Can we please have actual costumes and not recolours?

 

Sonic Speed Simulator, Sonic Rumble Party, Sonic Dream Team, and Sonic Forces: Speed Battle have really neat costumes for the main cast and yet all we get for an actual console game are boring full-colour replacements of the characters that change their voices into alien mumbling.

 

Even the previous Sonic Racing game that is Apple exclusive have costumes such as Popstar Amy, DJ Vector, Rockstar Rouge, Metal Sonic Mach 3.0, Pyromancer Blaze, and Sonic, Shadow, and Rouge wearing their Riders accessories (+ different vehicles). They can't even just port these outfits into CrossWorlds?

Heck, don't stop there, why not bring all the costumes from every previous Sonic game into CrossWorlds? There's so many: https://sonic.fandom.com/wiki/Outfit

 

I don't want to be one of those people by comparing this game to Mario Kart World but at least that $80 kart racing game does have costumes for the main characters.

To me, it's not just the characters being simply nude that gets me going, it's also the fact that they're indecently naked in public where they shouldn't be that can lead to embarrassing and humiliating scenarios which are also my kinks. I'm also looking forward to that game, Project Exhibitionism, by the way.

Just saying, you shouldn't be surprised by what gets taken down and what doesn't, since it's mostly based on common societal standards and mentalities. Our mentality is just not as common. My Rouge mod for Mania caused controversy everywhere it went, and she's canonically considered an adult (or was, lol).

 

Like, people are at least starting to get over the fact that Sonic games are going to more regularly have nude mods now that we've established a quantity of proof, but it'll take them a good while to get used to seeing Amy or Blaze in the nude. Cream and Sage will likely never stop being gatekept, though.

 

So, just keep in mind, it'll keep happening. Take each removal in stride, argue your point, appeal to bring it back, etc., but just remember that they are acting from a moral standpoint, not out of spite, regardless of whether that morality is skewed or not.

 

Again, don't be surprised that yet another moderator shares the mentalities and dumb standards that most others do.

 

They'll remove the stick from their buttocks eventually, just gotta be eternally patient while they keep scratching the itch caused by said stick.

Believe me I would LOVE to see actual costumes.

I really don't know why they aren't utilizing Hardlight's massive amount of costume models from Speed Battle, resizing them and rigging them onto the existing characters.

I wonder how big of a detail difference there is from Speed Battle / Dream Team to Crossworlds.
