Understandable! Personally I don't think making mods based off of other's art like Sonikku's for example is a bad thing but I did want to know if they would be cool with it or not.

Good to know what not to do when uploading mods: obviously there should be a specific spot to host them but I don't believe it needs to be locked behind a vault or something exaggerated.

Honesty I'm super hyped for nude katara drop.

I wonder which voice would people use?

I vote for og show one since there more material there to work with

but understand if people want the movie one.Don't know how many lines that one has that to be good for a racing game.

True, I know katara in the fighting game is different.

Either or i be happy she has a voice.

If the OG voice does not happen. I can make it happen ,whenever the crossworlds music editor decides to update.

As they rightfully should, distributing mods to only Discord servers is a moronic idea.

Not only are they volatile whether the author or moderator decided to remove it for arbitrary reasons or if the server went tits up, nobody outside of the server(s) can access them or even know their existence because Discord servers are like walled gardens whose contents can't be indexed by search engines on the open public web.

Take into account (Nexusmods/Gamebanana/Etc) are all Volatile like just like any other site my Friend Closed his Server cause of BS user started he did not have any Moderating he's even stated multiple site removed his mods for no good reason also keep in mind all modders are not the same I mean look at @SinsAwakening @ProDaHornyGamer & @Catnatic you all have different opinions & different modding styles which I think are Awesome.

Too true. People also do that to farm engagement and just get more people in their stupid discord server. It comes off as scummy and all it leads to is loss of progress in the modding community. Every time some one tries to "guard" their mods its usually shit that either they didn't make from the ground up or stuff using little to no effort to make at all. From experience its always people with some weird ego who do that shit. Good Modder's usually know this and DON'T do it.

Arle is quite underrated. There really should be more. I'm shocked we haven't gotten more traditional outfits for her like a maid or something cute like that. Even maybe a kimono or like you said just making her caked up lol. She has some pretty good ones on gb, specifically based on the puyo puyo games and the violinist outfit someone made is cute

Yeah, and with their inflated egos comes petty drama amongst modders. There's been way too many cases online where mods get destroyed or cancelled because of some drama, usually because of the head modder's ego, pretentiousness, or something like that.

Like just because you're able to crack down the game and implement features to it and probably have this mindset of "I could do it better than how the actual game developers did it or would do it" does not make you hot shit.

Discord nor Twitter are good for long term mod sharing, nor are they safe spaces the majority of the time as well. Especially with how horrible Discord has become.

 

 

Some mod authors tend to give up for whatever reason or another. Or they just don't care to upload to other places like Nexus, or don't know about sites like here. Never understood why.

 

 

It depends on where its shared. For GB, a small handful has been taken down but not a lot overall. I haven't heard of any mods on Discord or Twitter getting taken down, since I don't connect my SFW to NSFW.

Nexus has a similar policy to GB, but a bit more lenient. I think only three mods got taken down on there. But they still aren't great overall.

 

I'd say its pretty uncommon for Crossworlds mods to disappear. But for mods overall? Quite a lot, and many for the pettiest reasons.

Kinda related, we have a bunch of mods that only exist as downloads on this thread, and we'd do well to preserve them in some way by making download pages for them.

Lots of mods from Kuromicola, Haise Sasaki, Catnatic and others would probably be gone to the wind if we don't make download pages for them.

I know this is kind of a dumb question to ask,😅 (considering its probably in the back of everyone minds) but how many of the mods here are going to be updated for the Skin Shop?

I'm aware that it's up to the modders themselves if they want to tackle such a feat in retouching their creations, but out of curiosity, are they any mods that will be updated to work for Skin Shop skins? 🤔

I think it'd be great thing, as it allows those to not only preserve the cast as they are (minus the DLC's), but to enjoy swapping in & out of the mods we like without going through the process of closing out of the game to swap mods manual (if there are people that still do that), or using a mod managers to turn on/off the mods we want to use.
