it is possible since a ts4script is a zipped python program, but isn't common.

That Reddit thread is 2 years old. It was when there were creator accounts getting hacked and and malware/virus were being planted in files. Since that time Twisted Mexi had created a virus detector that some people still use today. To my knowledge there has not been any large scale attempts like there was then.

Users should think twice before installing a script mod.

A script mod has full control over the PC and can delete all files, download and upload files, ...

Here we had some sims or CC which would require to enable script mods with a malware downloader in a ts4script file.
